While the walk back to Littleroot went by surprisingly quickly, something felt different this time around. Clouds were rolling in and what looked to be a storm was coming.

"You alright, Caroline?" Carol inquired and Caroline's attention turned to face her. Coming to a stop, a variety of emotions swirled about within the mother's mind. How exactly should she say this in order to smooth things out?

"I know our original plan was to make you my sister, but perhaps it would be better to make you my mother instead?" Caroline suggested and Carol stared down at the sidewalk. That was a good idea here. At the same time, could she even pull it off? It was one thing to pass yourself off as someone's aunt, it was another to pass off as the very person who raised them.

"Can I have a moment to think it over?" Carol announced and got a nod from Caroline. Letting out a deep breath, she took a moment to think it over.
