Deciding Lyneth's role.

“Now that you’ve given me ample magic power, we have to get some essential stuff out of the way,” Lyneth began, sitting herself down in my lap. She was surprisingly light for how tall and curvaceous she was. “Thanks to the delicious meal you’ve just given me, I have more than enough energy to take care of the fact that I exist here.”

“What do you mean?”

“Think about it, Master,” Lyneth began, tracing a delicate finger along my collar-bone, “a lovely woman like myself appears in your life out of nowhere? Around the same time that your sister’s ritual just happens to fail? And this lady just happens to be romantically involved with you and even getting you way more sexual partners than usual? It’s awfully suspicious, if not to almost anyone then certainly to your sister.”

“That’s a good point, but what can we do about it?”

“At their core, succubus powers are all about perception. There’s obviously lots of sex-specific spells like improving stamina, improving fluid quantity, and so on; but most of our powers center around altering how people experience the world around them. This is helpful because it means I can make everyone in your life believe anything I want to about me. And since you own me, by proxy, I can make them believe anything you want them to about me.”

“Oh, well that’s interesting,” I said, stroking my chin and considering it carefully. “Do you have any examples?”

Lyneth nodded, “Sure, I could make them believe that I am an old friend of yours and always have been since your high school days. I could make them believe I am your girlfriend that you’ve had for years. I could make them think I am a member of your family like a sister or a cousin. Even your own family would believe it. You can make them believe I’m one of your online friends that you just discovered lives in the same area by chance and is willing to explore a romantic relationship with you. Perhaps I am a classmate or teacher from your college who gives you private tutoring sessions. Or if you’d rather me just be a complete extension of your will and nothing more, I could even make it so that nobody will ever notice me, effectively making myself invisible to everyone but you.”

“Couldn’t I just make it so they will never believe your sudden appearance is suspicious?”

Lyneth smiled a patient smile, “Well, of course. But I thought you liked world-building and character creation.” She gestured to the L&L books that was stacked haphazardly on one of my shelves, “This is an opportunity to do that with me. Anyway, the choice is yours, Master, I have enough magic in me to make any of these ideas a reality, or any combination of them. How do you want me, Master?”
