December Faculty Meeting

It was a slow Tuesday morning when Leah checked her email and found a reminder for the last faculty meeting before the semester's end. They only had two full weeks of classes left and everyone was eager to break for the holidays. Leah groaned as she knew this would just probably be a waste of time--and after school too. She didn't get paid to be there after 3:30...

Leah entered the library after the last of her students had fled her class following the dismissal bell. She opened the Library door and a number of people were already sitting around tables. Leah spotted the librarian, Mrs. Edwards and moved toward her to chit chat.

"Oh hey Leah," she said with a smile behind her circulation desk "how's it going?"

"Eh," Leah shrugged, "just surviving for these last few weeks. How about you?"

"I hear that." she laughed "Going better now that they finished up all the construction stuff."

"Oh yeah" Leah said looking around noticing that the equipment from the last meeting was all put away and no ladders or tools littered the area "What all did they do in here anyway? It doesn't look too much different."

"Yeah I know." Mrs. Edwards rolled her eyes "All that work and all that crap in here just to install some security cameras."

"Security cameras?" Leah asked.

"Yeah, they have had them in for a while now but they had to paint and do some touch up work too. Nothing too major."

{if librarysex = 100} Leah remembered when she and Mr. Howard had fooled around in the library and a sudden dread and fear came over her.

"So the cameras have only worked recently?" Leah was hoping they had only come on line recently...well after the last faculty meeting.

"Oh they have been on for a while." Mrs. Edwards moved a pile of books to a cart "All that construction was mostly for patching the walls they had to mess up for the wiring."

Leah's heart stopped. She really hoped they weren't on then or their position in the library was observed or that they had been overlooked.

"Don't worry no one has tried stealing anything haha" Mrs. Edwards laughed.
