Dealing with the Curse

There was a short pause and a ray of hope, before once more, another slow nod.

Zhongli's teacup audibly made contact with the table. The ancient gentleman, known for his deep knowledge in all things and legendary composure, for the very briefest of moments, was momentarily distraught. Not so much for it to show in his expression, but enough for him to briefly lose his elegant grip on his cup. Fortunately, it was not raised enough for it to spill its contents onto the table.

"Traveler.... I do not know what to say."

"Mr Zhongli. I need your help. I can't think of anyone else that can!" Aether lowered his voice when he found himself nearly raising it in desperation. He leaned in closer toward the former Archon to whisper, "Look. I know it sounds crazy, but I can't stop it! Its not just them either. Its all of them! Doesn't matter who it is! It just happens!"

"It is only natural that a young man such as yourself to be of that age, but at the very least, Traveler, perhaps you should try to show more restraint. Beyond the rumors, does anyone else know?"

Aether vigorously shook his head.

"Good. Keep it that way, although I cannot imagine what kind of reputation you will continue to have if this persists."

"That's why I'm here! I need your help, Mr Zhongli...."

Zhongli sighed once more, as if he had heard stranger requests. Now composed, he took a sip of his tea, "Very well. Unfortunately, advice is all I can offer. This 'curse', as you call it, may be beyond even my intervention as only you would know more about the details. I have never heard of such a thing before, but I may be able to point you in the right direction."

"Anything is appreciated, Mr Zhongli! I'm sorry to trouble you."

The wiseman waved off the formality, "We are friends, after all. It is the least I can do." He pauses to think, "Now, the 'curse'. Since you are convinced that it is not your youthful vitality that is affecting your actions, we can assume that it is likely something so powerful that it is beyond any regular person's expertise. There is no better place to begin your search than in Sumeru. However, consulting with the academia and Buer directly may be too... public for you, so searching for some manner of alternatives while you are there may be necessary."

Aether was taking notes, "Sumeru. Got it."

"Here in Liyue, a good many other travelers with many experiences from all nations do come and go. Perhaps starting your search here might also help. As you already have certain... relations with various locals beyond being the hero of Teyvat, the Qixing may be able to help you with whatever knowledge may they have." He gives his friend a mindful eye, "Do mind yourself, however."

Aether's recent memories of the members with the Qixing caused a crystalizing reaction in his crotch. Fortunately, the table was big enough to hide the erection, "Qixing.... Got it."

"I doubt that Inazuma may be an ideal location to look for answers, but the Grand Narukami Shrine-"

"No!"

"I beg your pardon?"

"Uh, nothing. Please continue...." Aether's nerves unfrazzled when he realized his outburst. The other recent memory of his last trip there solidified the reaction currently in his pants.

"Very well... Guuji Yae, although not the most ideal of persons to deal with, may be of some use to you. As she is as ancient as the Raiden Shogun herself, there might be some experiences that she may be willing share. Of course, knowing her, that may come at a steep price."

"Actually...." Aether voice trailed off as he hung his head.

Zhongli finally realized what he was implying, "Do not tell me..."

"Yes... Along with the maidens that work there... and... maybe the Shogun too."

This time, Zhongli was visibly shook. Once more, he took a moment to compose himself. He cleared his throat to mitigate the rest of his disbelief, "Ahem.... I do suppose that would make getting information from her slightly easier... Onto Mondstadt. The city of freedom would be the last place that I can think of that might be of purchase, but frivolity and boldness do match the roots of the curse you have described to me. However loose the connection may be, there may be some clues behind left in the ruins and legends that come from there."

"Mondstadt. Got it!"

"There we have it. As it appears that things have slowed down in recent months, perhaps now would be the best time for you to settle this curse, once and for all. Whichever location you choose, I am sure there is something of import that may help. The alternative to which should no solution be found, however..." He pauses to look at this friend, "I will not say, as only you can decide your own fate beyond what the gods have in store for you."

With that, the two friends parted ways at steps of the private pavilion. Although not completely instilled with confidence, Aether was glad to have returned to Liyue to try to get to the bottom of this. His entire journey so far had been a roller coaster of emotions and spilled cock milk.
