Deal with the Black Lynchers

Lisa thought over her options. She knew that this was a dangerous town, but she also knew that doing little jobs like patrolling wouldn’t give the sheriff much of an impression on her. So, seeing that taking on the big boys would be the most impressive way to start her career here, she grabbed her star and loaded her gun.

“Where’re the Black Lynchers?”

The sheriff seemed surprised.

“Well, they’re actually lynching someone today! They own a large ranch a few miles outside of town. It’s on a Cliffside, overlooking a river. There’s a tree that hangs over the cliff that they use to hang people. Look, I don’t know how good you are, but I really recommend that you don’t go after the Lynchers.”

You look at the sheriff. It doesn’t seem like he’d think of you any less if you didn’t go, but then you’re sure you’d be making a good reputation for yourself if you did go. The choice is yours.
