Day 8 - Hypnosis - Pokemon
“Thank you so much for choosing my salon to relax your Pokemon,” Nessa smiled and shook the trainer’s hand. “Your Yamper was on absolutely perfect behavior, the two of you must have a fantastic bond!”
“Thank you!” The trainer smiled back, “This place has really grown since the last time we were in here, you must be doing well.”
“Oh yes,” Nessa tapped her current notebook. “While being gym leader is still my main responsibility, nothing beats the look on a Pokemon’s face when you truly pamper them. I even take notes on every single Pokemon that comes in to see which each of them like and don’t like.”
“That’s some impressive dedication,” The trainer leaned over and pointed at the notebook, “That thing looks pretty thick, Spottie must not be the first Yamper you’ve worked with.”
“Nope,” Nessa shook her head. “Since they’re local, and as cute as they are, I probably work with them about as often as I work with a Pokemon like Pikachu or Eevee. There might not be another person in Galar who knows Yampers as well as I do.”
“If it isn’t a trade secret, what are some things I could do to relax Spottie after a battle?” The trainer gestured more toward the notebook, like she wanted to read it.
“Well, let me see here,” Nessa opened the notebook and waved off the trainer’s gesture to see it herself, “My handwriting is awful, better if I read it for you. Most Yampers are pretty high-strung and create energy through running, though Spottie seemed mellow so I’m assuming you’re giving him enough exercise. The yellow fluff around their neck looks thick, but the undercoat of it is actually very soft, so try to use a gentler brush if you’re going to brush that area. Then a Yamper’s paw pads are a little sensitive, but they also pick up a lot of dirt and little pebbles. So while you shouldn’t go around trying to touch a stray Yamper’s paws, when one trusts you like Spottie, cleaning out his pads can make him a lot happier.”
“Oh wow,” The trainer grabbed the ball out of her bag and held it up like she was looking at Spottie himself. “I never knew about the paw pads. That must be why he always prefers to walk on the sidewalk instead of the dirt.”
“Yup,” Nessa closed the notebook and tucked it under her desk. “The best place to let a Yamper get his exercise is out on the grass, but paved roads can also work in a pinch. Just make sure it isn’t too hot outside, or his pads can get burned.”
“I’ll keep that in mind,” The trainer offered her hand and Nessa shook it again. Then she made her way out and, when she was out of sight, Nessa sighed.
Her business had, in fact, grown quite a lot recently. As much as she wanted to credit it purely to her skills and charm, Nessa also had to contend with the fact that she was the only business of her kind within a pretty wide stretch of Galar. She needed to hire help. There was a backlog of Pokemon she still needed to get to, and she was practically becoming a daycare with how long some of them were taking. But she didn’t want to hire anybody she didn’t totally trust. And the more she thought about it, the more she didn’t totally trust anybody.
Maybe she’d have to go smaller scale. Raise her prices, start turning people away. As it was; when she put a Pokemon on her ‘to do’ list and told a trainer it might be a few days, she only got half her usual payment up front with the rest being due on delivery. Walk-ins were better, that was all up-front. But to do a walk-in, it had to be a Pokemon she could expect wouldn’t be a problem. Wouldn’t take any kind of research or feeling out. If the Pokemon was going to be a problem, or it was one she didn’t know, that jammed the whole system. Unfortunately, most Pokemon didn’t take well to being handled by somebody other than their trainer. The ‘problem’ list was more than just the ones she literally couldn’t touch.
Nessa turned her sign to Closed. She was going to have to take a bit of a loss today just to work on her backlog, there was no other way about it. As she checked her record for the one she’d had the longest, she reached under her counter and eventually found the thin little notebook she was looking for. As she opened it up…
It was strange. The page was half-filled, ending abruptly like some final message she had been trying to scrawl out while a slasher was chasing her or something. Nessa never left her notebooks like this.
As she stepped back into the store room and found the ball she was looking for, she flipped forward and back a bit. There were actually three pages she’d started and then didn’t finish. All under the generic name and not nicknames. Somehow, she had worked with three of this exact Pokemon and made the same failed page of half-notes each time. She took the ball out into the courtyard and opened it.
The Pokemon inside was about the same height as she was, at least if you included the pair of high, cat-like ears. It was bright yellow with a white, fluffy collar like a lion’s mane. A long nose, slightly too large of hands on slightly too long of arms, eyes squinting to the point of unreadability. As soon as it was out, it gave her a suspicious look and started to swing a pendulum it was holding in his hands. Nessa glanced at the pendulum for a moment before taking her first notes.
“Okay, Hypno,” Nessa glanced at the pendulum and back. It wasn’t exactly making her drool or her mind go blank. “It says your name is… actually, it looks like your trainer didn’t give you a nickname either. What is it with psychic trainers?”
That was more of a point of contention than she’d initially thought. For Nessa, who nicknamed all of her Pokemon, the idea of treating them like more of a species or a tool than your companion was strange. But then again, some people didn’t nickname their Pokemon for reasons other than apathy. Some of them were the kind of power trainers whose working party was always going to be exactly what they thought they needed for their next battle. Some people only wanted to use the strongest Pokemon but wanted to aid a professor or just collect for the sake of collecting. Some were looking for trade bait. All three made getting too attached a risk. Of course, some people also just didn’t give them nicknames. Somebody should have done a study on what type trainers were the most and least likely to nickname.
Nessa took a step toward Hypno and he took a nervous step back, holding his pendulum up higher and swinging it more aggressively. Nessa figured it was a warning sign. If he had been a fire type, he probably would have been flaring. If he had been an electric type, he probably would have been sparking.
“Alright, I’m keeping my distance.” Nessa made a show of stepping back and sitting down on one of the rocks by the garden pond. She checked her pages and saw that Hypno tended to be skittish. So she reached into her pocket and pulled out a bag of dried, sugar-coated berries. “If you want to approach, you can approach. But I’ll respect your personal space and won’t bring these tasty treats any closer to you.”
Hypno gave her a smug look like he’d successfully dominated her, but as he relaxed from trying to make himself look big - and as his pendulum started swinging more slowly - his eyes darted to the little bag of treats she had. Nessa opened it and popped one into her mouth. The berries tasted and smelled much better to Pokemon than they did to her, but they were halfway-decent, and seeing her eat one would put him even more at ease.
She kept glancing at the pendulum and she wasn’t completely sure why. Maybe she expected to suddenly feel drowsy, or to suddenly have missing time. She’d been hypnotized before, but she couldn’t remember dealing with a Pokemon who needed to use an item to do it to you. Granted, she’d apparently worked on three Hypnos before. It all kinda blended together after a while.
Pokemon abilities were strange. Some of them could affect a person, some of them couldn’t. Getting hit with a water gun didn’t hurt her nearly the way it would hurt a fire or ground pokemon. Pokemon flame burned colder than regular fire. But they could absolutely bite and scratch, and the ones carrying around weapons needed to be treated with respect. As for if the pendulum counted as a weapon… Well, Nessa did find it hard for her to keep her eyes off of it, but it didn’t seem to be working as anything other than a distraction.
As she ate another berry treat, Hypno took a sheepish step toward her and held out his free hand, the other still swinging the pendulum, slowly now. His eyes were on the bag, his feet shifting nervously.
“You want one of these?” Nessa made a note that the berry treats were super effective.
He nodded and kept shifting nervously. Taking another step forward, he reached for the bag. Nessa scooted back.
“I”m not giving you the whole bag,” She put it back in her pocket. “But, if you let me put it in your hand, I’ll give you one.”
The look that came to his face was conflicted. There was certainly some skittishness and hesitation, but also a near-desperation for the berries. Nessa made a note that he probably didn’t get treats much, just the usual kibble. She made another note to talk to his trainer and see if they were one of the ones on her shit list. At the same time, there was something else to Hypno’s expression. A sort of frustration. She noticed that he kept changing the tempo of his pendulum; as if he was looking for the exact rate that her brain was tuned to and that would get the results he wanted.
Whatever that tempo was, he didn’t find it before his desire for treats won out. Hypno stuck out his hand with his eyes cast down to the ground, like humiliating himself by playing her game wasn’t something he could stand. Nessa pulled out a pair of treats and carefully put them in his hand, making sure their fingers touched for longer than they needed to. When she pulled her hand away, Hypno’s face lit up as he shoved the treats into his mouth. Scarfing them like he was worried they were going to vanish. As he chewed, he closed his eyes happily. Nessa scooted a little toward him and rubbed her hand along his shoulder near the scruff of white fur around his neck. He looked at her cautiously, but didn’t pull away. She moved her hand up to the top of his head and ruffled between his ears. He gave a shudder like he was relaxing.
“See? I’m not so bad, buddy,” Nessa made a note about where he liked to be pet. Some Pokemon considered themselves a human’s equal, some a human’s superior, but everybody of every species like headpats.
Hypno finished chewing and kept letting her pet him, all the while continuing to change the tempo of his pendulum every few seconds. It swung forever at the corner of her vision, little more than a distraction. He reached for the bag of treats and Nessa pushed his hand away.
“Ah ah,” She pulled her hand away from his head. “If you want more treats, you’ll have to let me give you a bath. Don’t you want to be nice and clean?”
He gave her a nasty look and took a step back. But as Nessa stood up and walked over toward the springs, she popped another one of the berry treats in her mouth and sat down on the rocks. Hypno’s eyes contorted with another set of conflicting emotions before she actually saw him outright blush. She made a note about it. He slunk his way over to the bath and held out his hand, face turned away again.
“Get in,” She gestured to the water.
Another moment of hesitation and glaring like he was a little kid, then he eased himself in and settled down on the stones, not dipping himself further in than up to his waist. Nessa set another pair of berries in his hand and grabbed her brushes and sponges from near the bath. As she soaked one of the sponges and squeezed it out over his head, he shuddered and his white mane puffed up.
“Is the water too hot? Not hot enough? Just right?” Nessa asked. “The spring to your left is colder and the one to your right is warmer, so if you don’t like this one, just get up and go to one of those at any time. Don’t stay in one that isn’t just right if you don’t want to.”
Considering that Hypno didn’t get up - and Nessa was close enough to certain he could understand her - she settled into place as he relaxed and slunk a little deeper into the water. Like a kid or a sufficiently depressed person, most Pokemon hated the idea of the bath or the shower until they got in and remembered that it felt great. She kicked off her sandals and set her feet in the water. She wasn’t wearing anything more than a swim top and trunks if she needed to get all the way in the bath with the Pokemon she was working on, but hanging out on the edge kept her from having to towel off several dozen times a day.
“Let’s get your head underwater for a second here so we can get it done and give your collar time to dry, okay?” Nessa toyed with a tuft of his mane to show what she meant.
Hypno didn’t need to be told twice. He took a few steps into the bath and dipped his head down under the water before coming back up again and wading back to where she was sitting. As Nessa started to shampoo and brush, he held out his hand again.
“Yeah, I’ll give you another treat in just-” Nessa’s hands were sudsy as she worked shampoo into his mane, but her voice trailed off.
His pendulum swung, her eyes suddenly locked on it and unable to look away. Her mouth felt like it had gone numb as she tried to speak. The steady, left-right movement seemed to bore through her eyes and right into her brain. The arc of the swing was beautiful, each movement’s end the start of the next’s beginning. She wasn’t sure what she was hearing, but there was something like a low roar way at the edge of her register. A million whispers combining to become a voice. Her hands went slack into the water for a moment, then one came up as if on autopilot and handed him a pair of berries.
Then it stopped as suddenly as it had started. Nessa blinked her eyes clear as the whispers dropped away. Hypno hadn’t realized he had the right tempo and had changed it up again. His eyes glanced back at her and must have seen his mistake, must have seen some remnant of glaze or something, because he started trying to find the right one again with a look of self-disgust.
“Oh wow,” Nessa went back to cleaning his mane and closed her eyes. “You had me for a second there. Congrats, you got one over on the human.”
She heard Hypno shift and splash in the water, trying to get her to reopen her eyes. Nessa smirked and finished shampooing him, then rinsed her hands and turned the other way.
“Alright, put your head back underwater now and rinse that mane out.” She spoke over her shoulder.
He padded along and she heard a bit of splashing, but then nothing. Like he’d gone underwater and never come up again. Nessa turned back and reached out for him with her eyes still closed, but he hadn’t moved back into place.
Well, shit. This was a stalemate she probably should have seen coming. She knew there were certain things you could do to resist hypnosis, but she’d never bothered learning them. The most she’d ever felt from another Pokemon’s hypnosis was a sort of dizziness and ‘off' feeling that had made her really want to do what the Pokemon wanted to make it go away again. But she supposed that a Hypno’s pendulum really was a kind of weapon. She would have to look into this trainer, see if everything was… going right between them.
“Okay, you win,” Nessa opened her eyes for just a second and saw him standing still in the middle of the baths, then instantly snapped her eyes shut again.
Nessa stood up and started to wade out to him, but he backed away like he was playing Marco Polo with her. He wasn’t big enough or clumsy enough for his splashes to be noisier than her own. They trotted around in what was probably a circle for a moment before Nessa’s foot finally caught on something and she tripped.
There was at least enough time to hold her breath before she went under, and she’d halfway been expecting it. Nessa’s head dropped under the water around the same time as her hands hit the rocks at the bottom, so they were close to the edge. She felt around in the water for a second for Hypno, but couldn’t find his ankles. When she stood up, she took a moment to wipe her eyes and get her hair out of her face.
When she opened her eyes, Hypno was standing up on the rocks, eyes closed and shoulders shaking with silent laughter hard enough for him to forget to swing his pendulum. Nessa grimaced and waded over to the rocks, sitting down next to him and wringing her hair out. So much for not needing to towel off.
“Yeah, you got me again,” Nessa sighed and gestured at the water. “You outsmarted the human twice, but we’re still finishing your bath.”
Hypno hopped back into the water, intentionally splashing Nessa and laughing to himself again. As she finished rinsing the shampoo out of his mane, he held out his hand again.
“You want more treats?” Nessa asked annoyedly. “What for, getting me all wet?”
She pulled back her hand and grabbed a fistful of her swim top, pulling it forward and trying to squeeze some of the water out of it. As she was doing so she looked up to see the pendulum swinging again. Her hands froze, eyes following it. Hypno had locked in on the speed. The whispers came back and her other hand dropped into her pocket and grabbed two more berries. Then he thought better of it, and she set the whole bag in his hand.
He looked for a moment like that might be enough, as he started to munch on them, but seeing her still holding her top open made him narrow his eyes slightly. Hypno craned his neck and glanced up under, then his head jerked back away and he blushed again. After a moment’s hesitation, he shifted a little in place and Nessa’s hand shifted its grip on her top. Her other hand joined it and her hands moved to pull it up over her head, setting it on the rocks. At the very least, it would dry there.
Hypno’s eyes widened as he stared at her breasts. Setting the bag of berry treats down, he reached out and closed one of his large yellow hands around the soft handful of skin. His fingers were thick and strong, his palm fuzzy almost to the point of ticklish. Her coffee-black nipples were starting to harden, going from the warmth of the spring water to the cool air around it. His hand squeezed and kneaded, not focusing on her nipple until it was firm against his palm and seemed to get his attention.
There was a sheath between his legs that started to get more prominent the more he stared and the more he touched. She couldn’t really make out any balls, but as Nessa’s lips parted wordlessly, she could see a little red tip peeking out of the yellow sheath. In spite of everything, she could feel a burning, itchy feeling starting to grow in her crotch. As Hypno stood up closer to her, he brought his sheath up out of the water next to her face, keeping his pendulum swinging at the corner of her vision. Nessa’s hands reached out without her controlling them, one wrapping around the sheath and the other finding a pair of fuzzy balls hidden in a surprisingly thick tuft of yellow fur. She could feel the warmth radiating from what was inside the sheath as she massaged and squeezed it, pushing out more and more of the red protrusion until it had all come out. It bobbed stiffly now that it was free, hand-length and with a thick little knot like a Belue berry.
Her mouth was hanging open without her meaning to, and Hypno moved his hips gingerly until the thin tip of his cock slipped between her lips. She could taste the metallic tang of the spring water on his shaft, but also the salty, sweet tingling of him leaking. Her hands kept massaging the sheath at the base of his knot and his furry balls. Hypno reached out and set a hand on her head, then thought better of it and went back to eating his treats. He started thrusting very gently between her lips, trying to move Nessa’s head as little as possible so she wouldn’t break line of sight with the pendulum.
The feeling between Nessa’s legs was becoming needy as he used her mouth. Her trunks were already wet from her fall, but in her crotch specifically they started to feel sticky and uncomfortable. She wanted to reach a hand down and touch herself, but she couldn’t get her arms to move any more than the rest of her body. She looked up at Hypno as he kept thrusting into her, his face flushed as he chewed his treats, eyes screwed up happily. He was leaking more steadily, throbbing in her mouth, cock bumping up against the back of her throat and knot knocking against her lips uncomfortably, but her body couldn’t bring itself to gag. She was fully locked.
Then he couldn’t hold back any more and burst, somehow keeping his pendulum moving unerringly like it was muscle memory. His knot swelled and she felt his balls clenching in her hand. His cum filled her mouth with a taste like salt-covered fruit, thick almost as honey and coming in a surprisingly large quantity. As he closed his eyes and leaned his head back, Nessa felt the cum pooling on her tongue and around her guns, but her body wouldn’t let her spit or swallow either.
When he was done, Hypno slid his cock from between her lips as Nessa’s head tilted up and hands dropped limply at her sides. He **** her to hold his cum in her open mouth for him to see, then upended the bag of treats and dropped the last one in like a cherry topper. She swirled it around for a moment, crushing the berry with her tongue against her teeth, then swallowed all of it.
***
The pendulum stopped swinging at some point, and Nessa blinked as she realized she didn’t know where she was or what had happened. Hypno seemed to be about done scrubbing himself and moved out into the sun to dry off. She couldn’t… she must have blinked shortly after getting up out of the bath, around the time she had finished rinsing out the shampoo from his mane. Or maybe she’d zoned out. When she looked at his notebook, she hadn’t made more than half a page or so of notes. But it must have been uneventful enough of a treatment that she couldn’t bring herself to make more.
