What Happens for the pair next?

Day 4

Harry and Hermione woke up to the sound of rain as the pair began to wake up. Looking outside they saw that it was raining outside. Their shelter which they knew from prior reading was troubling thing for them out here.

"Oh blast rain." Hermione cursed as she knew it was bound to happen, but she had hoped it be a bit later in the game. Apparently, that was not in the cards for them. The rain was soft for now but in tropical weather that can easily change at the snap of their fingers. "Come on Harry we need to get going." Hermione said as Harry was already up.

"Alright." Harry said ready to move out with his quiver of arrows ready, his bow secured across his torso, and his spear in hand. Hermione had the same but with the added of her grass skirt around her waist. "It's raining." Harry said but Hermione knew this. Things were bound to get muddy and with their magic limited by the island itself well they knew getting dirty was going to be a given.

"I know but we need to hurry the rain brings the insect out into the open." Hermione said as they were lucky they had covered the ground they slept on but it would not be able to protect them forever. The local insects here feed off of magical people instead of sucking ones blood they suck out the magic. But that was not the worse of it.

"What do we do then?" Harry asked looking to Hermione trusting her to have a plan.

"We need to find the Mudhorn." Hermione said as this surprised Harry for obvious reasons.

There was an animal native to this island called the Mudhorn, it comes out during the rain and is noted to be large. They are very proud and territorial and was advised not to risk an encounter with it. IT was a breed of flightless dragon native to this Island and considered to be the apex creature here. The good news was that it was more or less harmless, but the bad news was that like Buckbeak the Hippogriff it was quick to anger if felt threatened or disrespected.

They had to risk it because Mudhorns tend to stay close to large mud pits. According to the books the Mudhorns mud pits act as a special repellent to most insects on this island. Though the book she read warned of some minor drawbacks to it but didn't expand any further on that. They would need to cover their bare feet in mud for the time being until they can find the Mudhorn's pit. It will at least keep the insects from crawling up for a brief amount of time.

The insect here also have another problem for the pair. Their bites have a slight aphrodisiac like effect on them. If they are bitten too much, they might suffer a repeat of the Lust Spitter. Thus, time was of the essence for them. If they get bitten too much they might end up reduced to a couple of horny animals fucking each other without so much as a thought of common sense. Harry understood why they needed to find the Mudhorn but he just hoped that it will turn out well for the two of them.

Angering a Mudhorn was a bad idea but if one does anger a Mudhorn there are a few ideas to calm it down. For starters running away from it is a bad idea as it will then charge you head on and they say that being hit by one of those is likely to knock you out at best or break bones at worse. Depending on how angry it is they may likely kill you as well.

The first method to calm them down is to show submissiveness to them they will either A, leave you alone deeming you as not worth it or B, welcome you into their pack. That was a risky gamble because Mudhorns tend to be very close to pack members. To show them you did not mean to anger them one would have to well spread theirs legs out in a crouch and put their hands behind their head. It was strange but someone did that once against an angry Mudhorn and it just sniffed them and walked away. That's how they discovered that part of the surrender bit. The other one had the Mudhorn sniff you, lick you, and then lightly bite you to take you back to its nest.

Though if it welcomes you into the pack then chances are Harry or herself could follow it and find the pit faster that way.

The second method can only be done if you anger a mating pair of Mudhorns. They do not like to be disturbed when in the process of mating but if you are also mating with a partner they'll leave you alone. They use the mudpits as their nests to attract mates so if Harry and Hermione happen upon them well chances are they will be bitten by a lot of bugs so two birds one stone.

The third Option to calm the beast would be to face it head on a roar for a roar but that was way to risky because on one hand it will walk away and leave you alone in respect... or it will take it as a challenge and proceed to slaughter you. The less said about that fate the better.

A.) The Insects Bites get the best of them.

B.) They Find an Angry Mudhorn but no mud pit

C.) They find the Mudhorns mud pits during mating

D.) Something Else (Comment with suggestions or just plain out add it in)

What mappens to Harry and Hermione on their search?
