Day 1.5 with Mrs. Kelly and the Catholic Schoolgirls

My first day with the girls was coming to a close. They had spent most of the day watching the news on the TV and checking their phones talking to each other. They still looked apprehensive about me whenever I approached since I was a stranger, so I left them alone for the most part. I had shown them to bedrooms, and they all clamored to pick one, though each room had been uniform with a cozy bed and a laptop, desk and some dressers.

“Thank you, though again, we’ll be out of your hair once this blows over.” Mrs. Kelly said.

“And if it doesn’t?” I asked.

“These kids have parents and families. I have to find a way to get them back to them.”

“Whatever happens Mrs. Kelly I’ll help you.”

“Thank you, Mr. Smith.” She said and closed her assigned room door and I left.

I went to the control room and monitored them. None were taking showers, unfortunately, but some had backpacks and changed out of their school girl uniforms. That’s a shame.

From top to bottom left to right I took them in. I would find out later their names.

They were all checking the laptops I provided them or their cellphones. I felt like a kid in a candy shop.
