Daxia joins the team

“So you’re the one Tina told me about,” Monica said, looking over the new prospect.

“I guess so, I’m Daxia Han, nice to meet you!” the slender Asian girl greeted.

“Have a seat!” Monica offered.

They were in the gym office where Monica was holding office hours for the women’s wrestling club. Normally the former WSW pro didn’t bother showing up since she knew and had direct contact with all the girls in the club, but Tina had messaged her about the new prospect. Daxia looked promising. Her build was trim, slightly hourglass with a modest bust. From her figure, Monica could tell she kept in shape. Now she wanted to know how skilled the new recruit was going to be.

“It’s good to meet you, Daxia! Tina didn’t tell me much about you, just that you were starting to get into submission wrestling,” Monica said. ”What’s your experience with wrestling or sports in general?”

“Yeah… Tina kind of pulled me into it all of this… I met her through her yoga classes but I do practice Wing Chun, Tai Chi.” Daxia answered. “I also keep in shape, you know, cardio, calisthenics, yoga of course, that sort of thing.”

Monica nodded. “That’s good to hear! It sounds like you have the foundations to do very well in this sport!”

“Tina has been training me as well, but told me to join so that I could get better education on submission wrestling,” Daxia nodded.

“That’s the whole purpose of the club! To build up your submission wrestling skills. Practicing with others is one of the best ways to improve!” Monica said.

“So… I’ll be wrestling other girls?” Daxia asked, suddenly blushing in her cheeks.

“Yes, the other members of the club. Why? Is that a problem?” Monica asked.

“No…” Daxia replied, shaking her head slowly. She thought about her first match with Tina. She had never really been with women before that and Tina opened her eyes to a whole new world, a world she was curious enough to explore further. The thought of doing the same thing with a stranger was scary yet a little alluring. She refocused her attention on the advisor, wondering if she’d ever get a chance to spar with her.

“That’s good,” Monica went on. “We have regular wrestling practice before submission wrestling. Technically you’ll be joining the women’s wrestling club with the submission wrestling club being an after hours sort of thing. WSW isn’t something we openly advertise for obvious reasons.”

Daxia nodded. Tina had told her about Monica. The tall brunette was an experienced vet in the world of Submission Wrestling and not one to be overlooked. She had given Tina a run for her money and Daxia knew just how capable the Judo expert was.

“So, do you attend Olympia, Daxia?”

“No, I went directly into my own business,” the young entrepreneur revealed. “I design sportswear. My parents were upset about me not going into higher education, but I’m able to support myself and I can always enroll later. I had good grades coming out of high school and I could apply for business courses…”

“Oh, that’s actually not necessary to be a part of the club. We have non-students in as well, you just have to pay an admin fee to get registered,” Monica explained.

“Oh. OK!” Daxia agreed.

“So that would cover most of it. The rest is formalities, I just need your signature and some ID,” Monica continued, filling out paperwork as she did. “Our next meet up is actually tonight if you can make it.”

“Ah, I can check with… my schedule,” Daxia replied.

“Well, if you do make it out, you should bring gym clothes and submission wrestling gear for the two practices,” Monica explained. Daxia nodded. “Alright, so unless there’s anything else you wanted to ask, I believe that’s everything!”

Daxia thought about it for a second, then said, “Do the women ever wrestle the men?”

Monica gave it some thought. “The school does have general wrestling meets where the ladies have wrestled with the smaller guys, but the club will be strictly women only.”

Daxia nodded, then asked, “Are the others nice?”

Monica smiled, “Oh, the girls are great! I’m sure they’ll welcome you with open arms!”

Daxia smiled. She was actually looking forward to this.

“So,” Monica said with some hesitation. She had something on her mind, but wasn’t sure how Daxia would take it. “If I may ask…”

Daxia nodded, awaiting the question.

“How exactly did you get into WSW? I mean I know you said Tina pulled you in, but I’m curious how a yoga instructor ropes in one of her students into this sort of thing…”

Daxia blushed. “Well, that’s a long story…” she replied with a wry grin. “Would you share what brought you into submission wrestling?”

“Oh… it was because of a girl…” Monica replied openly with a wistful chuckle. “I had grown up an amateur wrestler, my dad is a wrestling coach here, and one of my teammates in college was just learning about the WSW scene. I had the biggest crush on her and would say yes to anything she asked of me, so when she suggested I try it out, I jumped at the chance!” Monica laughed and shook her head with a sigh. “I thought it was just a fetish thing between us, wrestling and then sex afterwards. I didn’t even know that WSW was a thing at the time! Then, she showed me all the videos and everything, it blew my mind!”

Daxia nodded in total agreement, having just been exposed to this world recently.

“So eventually, she convinced me to apply to become an actual wrestler. It was crazy, but like I said, I’d do anything for her… I did pretty well for myself there, I’d like to think,” she looked off in the distance with a smirk and shook her head. “Anyways, that’s how I got into it.”

Daxia nodded, then asked, “Are all the wrestlers going to be… lesbian?”

Monica sat back and looked at Daxia with a slightly tilted head. “I suppose it’s kind of a prerequisite to enjoy this sport, considering what’s involved…” she answered. “Are you not into girls?”

“Not traditionally…” Daxia admitted. “But, well, I guess I’m learning… Tina was kind of a special case, we met from her yoga class but then we built up a partnership with my clothing. We became good friends so I would tease her now and then, but I had a boyfriend... Until recently. After we broke up, I guess I was just being too flirty with Tina and one thing led to another…”
