Darkness

Coming round with a splitting headache you realise you are pinned inside the SUV in a ditch by the side of the road, but find no sign of Kerry or your mom. Trying to remember what the hell happened all that comes to you is the SUV being hit by something then nothing just darkness. Pushing the door it pops out the frame, stepping out of the SUV and rolling your shoulders everything hurts then doesn't as you hear a hell of a lot of popping coming from your body. Looking round you cannot find any sign of your mother or Kerry, but you do find what hit the SUV as you examine the door to the SUV its a disabler used by the cops to shut down cars and such when in a chase. Strangely it is the one that should be used on heavy vehicles not SUV's that's for sure.

Moving further away from the crash you find some tracks from another vehicle and a group of people as well as what looks like a blind for the disabler. Wondering just what the fuck is going on you find most of the gear in the SUV is gone but one of the gun cases is wedged under your seat and a little banged up from the crash. Ripping the seat out of the SUV to get to the case you find it is your gun case and both guns are in good condition you lock and load before starting to follow the tracks and find they lead off road. Finding a map in the SUV along with some water, you follow the tracks until they reach a dirt road, this road does not lead to any sort of town, but their is some buildings at the end of this dirt road. It is a few miles to these building, you have no way to contact anyone as no radios are left in the SUV and no idea what you are going to be walking into but you have no real choice. Going back to Compton is out of the question as you do not know if you can trust anyone back at Compton, the only thing you can think to do is follow the tracks hoping it leads you to Kerry and your mom. Following the tracks down the dirt road for more then an hour it leads you to a set of buildings that look like some sort of farm or ranch station maybe it has a lot of buildings set around a main house and the tracks you have been following lead straight to a large barn of to the left.

Deciding to scope the place out before rushing in you find a spot to observe the place as some part of you is not liking this whole situation one bit. Looking over each of the buildings carefully it soon becomes clear the place is inhabited on some level as not every building is in good condition but the main building has been fortified in different ways. Expecting it to be some sort of survivor group you are shocked when men start coming out of the barn not one or two but five and from how they carry themselves it is clear they are trained military and that they are not beta's. Especially when a petite woman comes out from another building and meekly tells them the Captain wants to see them and the one in front blows the woman off before she points out the Captain is very pissed and all five wince before saying they will go see him straight away.

Watching the five men enter the main building and the woman shut the door behind them now might be a good time to investigate some of the other buildings, moving down closer to the perimeter you have a few choices of which buildings to investigate the main building, two barn like structures one of which has tracks leading inside from the vehicle you have been tracking, what looks like a set of stables and at least four small to medium sized sheds not to mention the garages and some partially enclosed buildings too.
