Amanda drummed her hands on the table. You felt sick.
"My second pick is our landlord, Larry Morris," you said. Amanda's face immediately fell flat.
"Why him? He's repulsive! Is this because I picked a black guy last time?" You were surprised, shaking your head no. "It is, isn't it? I'd expect that from my parents, not you! Well, I'm going to do this because I agreed, but get used to the couch, Dani!" She walked off, furious. You sighed.
