Dance with the one what brought you

Okay, dumping Cindi and trying to make time with Natasha had a lot of appeal. For one thing, Natasha was a lot hotter. For another... well, wouldn't that be a kick in the ass to the football jerks who probably spent their lives drooling after the ice queen.

Still, Matt decided to stick with Cindi... for three reasons. First, she was his ride home. Second, because he'd be a jerk to dump her now, especially considering that she was the one who'd helped him with his sudden popularity. And third, there was the whole girl psychology thing. Natasha would likely find him more attractive if he didn't just fall into her lap the way every other boy in school did. If he seemed loyal to Cindi, he'd be a challenge. Not that Natasha was likely to care that much... yet. But down the line, it would put him in a stronger psychological position. Not for the first time, Matt was glad he actually paid attention to his sister Karen when she went off on some of her girl-tangents.

He turned back to Cindi. "That was fun. Want to do it again?"

"There are a lot of other girls who'd love to be lifted."

"Let them ask me out on a date, then."

"Seriously, Matt. You should help them out. None of us ever get a chance to get lifted in practice because it's only girls. Even our teacher is a woman."

"Promise me you'll let me do you again, then."

"Sure. After you lift some of the others."

Yeah, he could do that. He intentionally picked out some of the smallest and ugliest of the skaters, not that any of them were especially unattractive because, hey, being rich means plastic surgery, dermatology, braces, and the nicest clothes, and did a few lifts.

Finally, just as he'd calculated, Natasha couldn't stand it any more. She elbowed her way to the front of the line. "Do me next."
