Who won the bet?
Damn kids (12)
"HA!" Max exclaimed as he quickly grabbed the die. "We win you geezers. Sorry honey, you don't get to see my dick today. Unless the 'die makes you.'"
"Don't be a dick Max." Jenny sighed. "Remember the terms? They have to approve what we roll for."
"We don't need them to do anything. I've got the fucking thing. Let's go!" With that Max jumped off the bench and turned to run, only to find himself unable to get more than a foot away from the table."
"Max, Max, Max. I'm beginning to think you weren't an honors student." Siobhan taunted. "Luke was pretty clear that ownership of the Eye of Ceridwen wasn't up for debate. That being said, here's what we know about the die." With that Siobhan and I told revealed everything we knew about this mystical item and what we had done with it up until meeting them.
"Honestly, I wasn't sure it was really doing anything until you tried to take off with it. Everything else could have been coincidence or Siobhan messing with me." I got an eye roll for that. "Okay. Now the other half of the bet. What do you want to use your roll on."
"I still don't believe you. But I'll play along." Max paused for a moment to consider his options. "I want to be hot. Super fucking hot." With that he cocked his arm and got ready to throw.
Jenny grabbed his arm to stop his movement. "WAIT! Remember what they said about if you get a bad roll? This could backfire!"
"Yeah right. Nothing's going to happen no matter what I roll. Just watch." Yanking his arm free of Jenny's grasp he bounced the die off the table onto the concrete below. While Max apparently thought it was the funniest thing ever, Jenny, Siobhan and I scrambled to find it. "Fucking dorks!"
It was Jenny who found it first, and the tone in her voice suggested something was about to happen. "Oh...Max..."
Hot or Not?
