Daisy tries to use her feminine wiles

With the flashing light of the cop car, Daisy couldn't see anything about the police officer. He was tall. That was about it. Didn't look like he was in too bad of shape. Did that help? She tried to figure out exactly what Mr. Johnson wanted her to do. He had a very strict rule about... interactions with others. She was supposed to be a one-man kind of woman, so long as he was paying her bills (via the company payroll). But she didn't think Mr. Johnson would be very happy about anything that might get them out of this jam.

"Sorry," she said. She was trying to sound like a cheerleader. She actually had been, before she flunked out. "Were we going too fast?"

"Step back in the car, ma'am," said the officer.

Daisy tried to walk like a seductress. The voice of an 18-year-old and the stance of a 35-year old divorcée. "I can pay the speeding ticket now," she said.

"I need to test your driver. He's been driving erratically. Step back in the car, ma'am."

She was at the edge of the lights and she could see a few more details. He looked like a pretty standard cop, bearded, white, maybe Latino. Shaved head. Sunglasses, even though it was the middle of the night. Not her favorite kind of people (cops, not people who wore sunglasses), but he wasn't terrible looking. "Oh, I'm sorry. I must have been distracting him," she said. Whoops. Probably shouldn't have admitted to that. "He's a good driver, though. I can drive home if you want?"

"I just finished running this license plate, and there's a previous DUI on the record. I need to test him."

Daisy looked back at the car with hatred in her eyes. Mr. Johnson hadn't even gotten out of the car. He already had a DUI? No shit they were going to test him! Putting on her best Marilyn voice, she said: "Oh Mister Officer, don't you think we could come to some kind of agreement?"

Now she was on thin ice.
