Daisy's screwed when Paul makes the decent choice

"Who the fuck are you, man?" Paul said, scooting back even further from her. He turned away so she couldn't try to ingratiate herself to him again. "What's going on at this company? Is this why you're getting paid so much?"

Backfire. Daisy started to panic. This was the exact opposite of what she'd had in mind. "Oh my God, no!" she yelped. "I just wanted to... preserve my advantage!" It didn't even sound believable to her. She'd been a terrible liar since the first night her high school friends had asked her to sneak out with a bottle of her mom's favorite rum.

"Yeah, sure," Paul said. "I'm getting out of here. You can find your own way home. And a new job, if I were you - the partners'll hear about this bright and early tomorrow morning."

*How did such a cool guy become such a narc?* Daisy thought, but she probably would've done the same in his position. She was basically stealing from the company, and every dollar that went to her was a dollar that couldn't go to someone who actually busted ass to do their real job.

This was bad. Way worse than what he'd brought her out here to talk about, even. Not only was she going to be on the hook for fraud, conspiracy, maybe even embezzlement, but now she'd stapled sexual harassment right on top of her rap sheet.
