Dad's Investiment Opportunity

There was a knock on Jacob's door. He didn't answer right away, just inhaled. After a moment, when there was another knock, he started to get up. He put away his pot. The knocking continued.

"Jacob, it's your dad," he heard his father Walter say.

Jacob opened the door, but it wasn't his father that he saw. It was a young woman wearing a swim suit.

"I don't know who you are but I could swear I heard my father," Jacob said.

"You did," said the woman. "I am your dad."

"Well you sound like him and that's actually... hotter than if you sounded like a woman. Sorry if that's weird."

"Jacob," the woman said, "I am your father. I made an invention. It can let you borrow a body and use it for all the skill it possesses. For example, this is the body of a Swedish swim champion".

"Yeah, right, pull the other one," said Jacob.

"I'll prove it to you, Jacob," Walter said. He pulled a device out of somewhere-- Jacob wasn't sure exactly where-- and soon his father was standing in front of him. Walter sniffed.

"It smells bad in here."

"Just pot, dad," Jacob said.

Walter sighed. "No, it smells like you haven't left this room for days."

"Gaming binge," Jacob shrugged. "How else am I going to get ranked?"

"You certainly smell rank," his father said. "Any luck with the job search?"

"Nothing."

"Good, then you can come with me," Walter said. "You have free time."

"Free time for what?"

"There's an invention expo going on, international too. I am going to present my transformation device and see if I can find any investors."

"Sounds like you don't need me, Dad," Jacob said, and he started closing the door. Walter grabbed the door and held it open.

"Son, I am giving you a chance. If you go with me, help me represent the product, I'll hire you to the company this will create. Give you a real job."

"I don't want a real job."

"Hmm," Walter said. "Let's try it this way. "If you don't go and help talk up the product to investors... I will kick you out."

"What time are we going?" asked Jacob, who started looking around his room for cleanish clothes.
