“You’d be a hard woman to forget,” you tell her, wondering if she could detect your smile over the phone.

“Don’t say ‘hard’,” she insists. “Leave that to me.”

“Then what should I say?”, you ask her, unsure if you like the way she seems to have become the authority in your relationship.

“Call me back when you have found a large space in your schedule,” she says, “and I’ll tell you who you’re going to fill with it.”
