Jason wanted to be famous, yes, but he also wanted to see how his new body would affect his life. And the best place to see that was in the world of online dating, where one image decided if you were going to be rejected or get a date. And with his new body and face, he had no doubt he would get hundreds of swipe rights.
Excited, he downloaded Bumble, quickly made an account and agreed to whatever stupid fee for premium, and started making his bio. He didn't put much effort into it, even though usually he would pour hours over trying to write the perfect answer to "An interesting fact about me is:" because he was going to rely on his pictures to do the talking.
Unfortunately, that's when he realized he didn't have single picture of his new self. He was loathe to take a selfie or a mirror selfie, so he needed good, professional pictures. He could just set up a tripod somewhere and snap a pic, but this actually presented him with an opportunity. A friend of his was a photographer, a smoking hot girl that he'd had a light crush on in high school and was now pursuing a photography degree in New York City University, the same school as him. He could ask her for a favor and maybe it could lead to something more...
So he sent a quick text to Lauren.
"Hey Lauren, you know how I've been working out recently and maybe also hit a growth spurt? Well, it's kind of made all my previous pictures useless, especially for Bumble and all. So I was wondering if you had the time to take some pictures of me? I can pay you a little, too."
A few minutes later, he received a reply.
"Wow, you changed that much?"
Of course she wouldn't believe that he changed so drastically, Jason thought. So he took a quick mirror selfie and sent it to her, with his more beautiful face clearly visible.
Immediately, he got a text back.
"Oh, damn. You've definitely changed A LOT. I can take your pictures in an hour if you're okay with that? And don't worry about payment, consider this a favor :)"
Jason couldn't believe it. That was the nicest she'd ever been to him, and the fastest she'd ever texted back. She usually acted like she was too good for him, with her social justice activism and artsy pursuits. But now, dare he say, she was finally paying attention?
An hour later, Jason showed up in some hastily bought shirt and pants that actually fit him to Lauren's apartment. Her family was super rich from her dad's oil money so she could afford to buy a whole four bedroom apartment in a skyscraper in the middle of New York City. Which made her environmental activism even more ironic, but that was besides the point. Lauren quickly opened the door after he rang the bell, almost like she was waiting for him. They hadn't seen each other in a few months and Jason had forgotten how absolutely stunning she was. Silky blonde hair, stormy blue eyes, perfectly round red lips, and a curvy but petite body- she could've been a supermodel.

He was always taken aback when he saw her, and right now it was no different.
"Wow... you look amazing!" he blurted. Immediately, he regretted it. You don't just tell a girl that immediately after seeing her! Especially if she's your friend!
But to his surprise, Lauren simply giggled and responded happily with, "Thanks! You're not so bad yourself. All that working out really paid off, huh? You're definitely like a 10 now!"
Jason couldn't believe she hadn't called him a creep and shut the door to his face. But he decided to roll with it. "Yeah, exactly. All my old pictures don't work anymore so I had to take some good ones. So, are we going to take them here? Or do you want to go somewhere?"
"Oh... yeah, we can take the pictures here. Definitely." She had the brightest smile on her face that Jason had ever seen. What was she so happy about?
Jason followed her inside her huge, luxurious apartment and idly noted that it definitely costed a few million to own this place.
