How does Rouge react?
Cracked Armour
I'm not going to pretend that there wasn't more hanky-panky after Trish's revelation last night, but honestly, after the eighth or ninth orgasm, it all kind of blurred together. I couldn't tell you who left which mark on me at this point. Instead, my focus since waking up has been on making my world-famous pancakes. Because that's just easier to comprehend.
I feel hands support my waist as a familiar French accent warms my ears. "Good morning, Lapin, I wondered where you'd gone." Elise whispers to me. Trish had opted to sleep in Rouge's bed after the night's activities were concluded, so I'd left my girlfriend alone in our bed. I was planning to surprise her with breakfast, but I should know better than to make plans at this point. "Any sign of Trish yet?"
"Not a peep, I think we wore the poor thing out." I joke, honestly, she's probably just feeling awkward, I mean, there's not exactly a rule book for what to do after you fuck a couple, is there?
"Talking about me?" We hear Trish yawn, as she enters the kitchen and takes a seat at the table, wearing the clothes she left at ours yesterday. Huh. Maybe just tired then. "I need to just... Not do oral for a while, my jaw still aches."
Well, guess my worries were unfounded. "Pancakes?" I look back to ask her as Elise joins the table. A sleepy nod is all I get in response, I'll take it, this is basically my only culinary talent, might as well use it.
"Anything from Rouge?" Elise asks both of us, I haven't checked my phone yet, but I doubt we'll hear anything until she's home.
"Nothing, figure she stopped at Rob's either way." Trish speculates. She did seem pretty smitten last night, it's nice to see her so pleased after being nervous for so long.
I finish up breakfast and serve for my guests. I say my guests, feels more like Elise lives here now, and I'm more than okay with that. Conversation moves from speculation about my sister's evening to Trish's plans for today.
"I'm gonna hold off, talk to Rouge first, tell her our arrangement's done, she won't mind, but it's respectful, you know?" She explains. Those two have a messed up code of ethics, can't ask someone out or it's disrespectful, but bang someone's sister all night and that's fine. I guess it makes sense to them, besides, Rouge seems to have crossed that line first. "So... Can we address what us three do moving forward?"
I almost choke on my mouthful of pancake. "Moving forward?" I query between coughs.
"I just mean, there's not going to be any awkwardness, you know I'm easy, but you two are worrywarts, so I just want to be sure." Trish laughs.
Elise joins in the laughter, rubbing my back. "No, no awkwardness, it was awesome, but I think we've both had our fill." She responds for me as I wash down the offending bite with water.
"Yeah, no offence Trish, but my curiosity is satiated, I just hope Skye has the stamina of a marathon runner, because you're kind of insatiable." I smirk, returning to eating.
"Eh, I figured I'd show off, can't have me building a reputation as a pillow princess." Trish shoots back. "But, I can now claim to be the only person to have seen all four of us naked." She proclaims cheerfully.
Huh, I've had sex with a whole two people and I'm already a notch on someone's bedpost. I guess that's an achievement in a weird way? "I mean, me and Rouge bathed together when we were kids, so I guess, I have too?" I point out.
Trish waves away my assertion. "That doesn't count, that was what? Fifteen years ago? Can you even remember that? I saw her naked the day before yesterday." She scoffs. Okay, fair point.
"Hmm, but they're twins, so surely they look the same naked?" Elise thinks out loud. Trish simply laughs at the thought. I feel like I don't want to know what's so funny. It's not like I have time to think about it anyway, as we hear the front door open and close, no barking, so it's not Mum.
Time to pay the piper.

"I thought you weren't the settling down type, slut pride, all that shit?" Rouge questions Trish, we'd managed about ten minutes of small talk before Trish had dropped her bombshell. Elise and I had scurried away to wash up from breakfast, not that it's doing much to cover or eavesdropping.
"I didn't think I was, I still don't know if I am... But I want to know." Trish explains. "I just thought I owed you an explanation."
Rouge laughs at the concept. "Me? You don't owe me anything... I mean, I made the rules, didn't I? What have I got to complain about?" My sister counters with a cackle. "Besides, I had a great night with Rob, and he asked me out again, so I guess we don't need each other anyway." Ouch, Rouge. I get what you're saying, but that could've been worded better.
"I guess not." Trish sighs. I'm not sure what any of us were expecting, this isn't really an argument, they're agreeing but it just seems... Off. "I guess I'm gonna head off then, I'll catch you all at school tomorrow." She chirps up, smiling as she makes her exit. Rouge soon exits the room too, I hear her footsteps lead to the living room.
I turn to Elise who nods to me to follow her. Guess I'm not the only one who noticed. I kiss her on the forehead and leave the rest of the dishes as I dry my hands and move to the living room. It's dark, Rouge hasn't bothered to turn a lamp on, guess I won't either. I take a seat on the sofa next to her, her expression is blank, not angry, not sad, just in shock.
"What's wrong with me?" She asks in a monotone voice. My reaction is a face of confusion, which clearly prompts her to continue. "I've met a guy I like, my best friend has met someone she likes, happy endings all round, right? I should be ecstatic..." She murmurs, I don't know if she's asking me or herself at this point.
"What do you feel instead?" I try to question, but I could be making it worse for all I know.
"I feel... Loss. Like all I want is to ask Trish about it... But I can't." Rouge answers, still not looking me in the eye.
In for a penny, in for a pound, I think I know how she's going to respond, but I've got to do it. "Ask her what?"
"We broke every rule, every single one, except one. If she wanted to, why didn't she tell me, why couldn't we just break it, and keep going?" She talks in riddles, before realising I don't know what she's saying.
"If she wanted to settle down with a girl... Why wasn't it me?
