Cover the agents

“They just asked standard questions,” you answer and shrug your shoulder, “if I saw somebody regularly around home, if there was anything strange in the morning or if mom had trouble with a colleague or patient. Nothing that interesting. I guess I’m not the kind of witness they hoped for.”

“And they did not asked anything about your father?” the lawyer asks unbelieving, “about his … business or if you suspect him?”

“They asked if mom had contact to him lately, but I didn’t knew anything,” you lie, “I assume they focus on more mayor hints then me.”

“Probably,” the lawyer says thoughtfully.

Almost in the same moment, Agent Warren and Agent Wellington enter the lobby. They head to the door, but before they leave, Agent Wellington gives you look that makes sure, she will remember what happened next time.

“Well, you told me my father wants to meet me,” you say to break the silence, “can you please tell me more?”
