Chapter 13 by Moot Moot

What's next?

Cousin Wallace

Jessica had to take a few train rides, and alot of taxi rides before she finally arrived at the address. It was fairly large village in the middle of nowhere, even her taxi driver had struggled to find the place. The car pulled up outside one house submerged with many. It looked fairly small and very condense, with each house being attached to each other down the street.

Jessica stepped out of the taxi, after paying the driver, and checked to see if the house number matched the one of Miss Wallace's note. With a gulp and a sigh, Jessica approached the front door. The front lawn of the house looked very unkept and untidy, overgrown weeds stretched all over the path.

Jessica knocked on the door, ready to argue her case. The door swung open and revealed a fairly large red head woman. She was chubby, wore jeans and a blue top, and had straight red hair. She looked like a slightly younger more slim version of Miss Wallace. Oh yeah, definitely the right place. Jessica thought with a smile. "What the fuck do you want?" The cousin bellowed.

Jessica's smile faded. "So this is gonna sound crazy, but your cousin made me homeless and now to get my things back she wants me to stay at yours for some reason, any way you can talk to her about this? Sorry for the trouble." Jessica asked the woman politely, her journalist skills were in full use. The woman scoffed and raised an eyebrow. "Try harder or you lose your chance." She responded and folded her arms.

Jessica was adamant that she would not beg for anything, she was going to convince this woman somehow. "Oh come on, I've been unfairly treated here! Just help me out, please!" She asked the woman. "Yeah it's a no from me then.." The woman told Jessica and tried to close the door.

Jessica quickly blocked it with her foot. "Okay, okay fine! Please oh please let me stay with you... I beg of you..." Jessica pleaded, completely defeated. This was not the route she had hoped to take, but she had come too far to risk losing it all. The woman paused, as if she was in deep thought...

Will she say yes or no?
