Fair play is only fair, after all. You dramatically clear your throat, hoping to alert her to your presence.
She doesn't respond at all and remains engrossed in her work - either she can't hear you because of her ear protection, or those're head phones and she's rocking out, or else you are just that uninteresting - or unthreatening - to her.
It's a little humbling...
