Costume shopping

Confident that you will find just the right costume, you make your way to the shop.

On your way you meet an acquaintance of yours. Well maybe that is too strong a word. You know him in passing, Peter something-or-other. Seems to have perfected the art of being totally ambiguous. Regardless what you talked to him about or even heard him talk for that matter he never seems to have an opinion one way the other. Okay you only talked once to him and maybe you glared at him a lot, but so what? He isn't winning any awards in this conversation either. For some reason he thinks asking you out on the day of a really cool party seems like a good idea and once you mention that he, again, is more slippery and spineless than a slug. Now that you think of it he kind of reminds you of one, too. A comment later, a bit scathing but not directly insulting, you leave him standing and continue on your way.

Just after a short walk a realization hits you: You did not even know the guy, Josh never met him. It was all Dawn! You acted nearly completely like Dawn! And you liked it. Not just the comfortable feeling of doing what came natural but your inner-self seemed to relish being bitchy when you can get away with it. It excites you and frightens you at the same time. What if you will actually be worse than before? You certainly have far better means than her, with the pens and all. Just as you start to think about that you arrive at the store.

You push these thoughts back for now and go inside to take a look at the costumes.

Without trouble you find a Miranda Lawson outfit. Well without having been Josh you would have trouble knowing what it is but that is neither here nor there. There are in fact two different kinds. One white and black rather tight looking formfitting overall made of some synthetic materials and a bit of leather around the arms. The other was more or less identical but completely out of black leather with orange highlights. Both outfits came with matching over-knee boots though, you are convinced the heels are a bit higher and thinner than in the game proper.

You pick one in the right size and go to a booth to try it on. You haven't got a leather costume at home yet so you decide to take the black one to try on. Stripping down to your underwear you slide on the overall. It sits tight but comfortable all around. You are a bit surprised that the gloves are worked into the sleeves but since they also fit you nicely you don't complain. Not all is perfect though as it seems that you panties seem to roll up inside the thin leather suit. Well you can always wear a simple thong or even go commando. Your black hair really compliments the look, as does your smooth skin. Your face is, of course, very different from the video game character but that does not matter in the least, you like the way you look after all.

Quite satisfied you put the costume back and think about simply buying it or its black and white counterpart and bringing it home. Not one thought is spared that Dawn's home is not actually your home.
