Chapter 11 by jw_wjw jw_wjw

What does Eva decide?

Corwin decides for her

"You are correct, Lord Northfork," Corwin intervened in the conversation, "that this is indeed a woman I have collected from the East End to aid in my entertainment for the night."

"Corwin!" Eva whispered harshly at him, "whatever are you doing?"

"I'm doing you a favor, my dear," Corwin whispered back.

"Quite delightful," John responded, "I truly admire your parody of Lady Cunningham and her recent crusade against magicians. I was considering inviting her to this engagement, but I thought better of it since I didn't wish for her to cause distress to you or ennui for the audience with her diatribes against such an art as yours."

Eva reddened considerably as John described exactly what she had done, and had given his reason for not having invited her to this ball.

"I have the utmost gratitude for your kind words, Lord Northfork," Corwin bowed, "and I appreciate your appreciation of my satirical abilities."

"Now that your present engagement is over," John began to query, "what becomes of the lady? Does she come home with you or is she permitted to mingle with everyone here? I would quite like to converse with someone from the East End, especially given her affectations and mannerisms quite similar to our class..."

What does Corwin do to "the lady"? Does she get dressed?
