Continue your shopping for now

Chapter 343 by Leoblade24 Leoblade24

“Let’s continue shopping on our own for now, if we hear nothing in fifteen minutes, I’ll activate the trackers in their collars and check on them,” you finally decide with a nod. Clover grimaced a little.

“I’m always forgetting that I’m lo-jacked,” she sighed and scratched her collar a little. It was a cute yellow collar with a heart shaped tag with your information on it.

“At least it means kidnappers would be hard pressed to get away with us though I would like to see them try,” Alex smiled, trying to put a positive spin on it. “It's just like how Jerry always knew where we were every hour of every day.”

“I’ll bury anyone who tries to take one of my girls again,” you declare with a growl. You briefly recall the fate of your former neighbor Phil who was awaiting trial by combat, the people who had taken Starfire who were imprisoned or hospitalized at this point, and Blake and Rayla who had kidnapped Aelita so many weeks ago; you were still shaping their true punishment, just waiting for the perfect moment to pull the trigger. “Anyways, let's see what we can find in fifteen minutes.”

You wave up at a large gorilla wearing a Sams’ Club vest uniform a few stories up. They were talking to another identical gorilla standing on a different platform. You and your girls were standing in the produce section. Massive fruit and vegetable stands were arrayed in long rows. Each stand was several stories high and there were numerous platforms and footholds allowing the various Sam Simeons (from Angel and the Ape) manning them to be able to navigate around.

The one you were waving at noticed you after a few minutes and gestured a hand, silently questioning what you wanted.

“Three barrels of red apples,” You held up three fingers before pointing towards a stack of barrels to his right. He looked over and scratched his head, nodding between the shelves of red apple barrels, green apples barrels, red grapefruits, and pineapples. He looks at you and shrugs.

“Three red apples!” You get glares from other customers but ignore them as the Sam Simeon just cups one of his ears.

“Three red apples, this big,” You reach over and grope Marinette’s left tit (“Hey!” Marinette shouted) and pointed to Clover’s red collar, ”and this color! Please.” The gorilla nodded even as Marinette slapped your hand away and covered her chest protectively. The Sam Simeon grabbed three barrels of red apples and tossed them down the nearest chute. They rolled down in a simile of an original Donkey Kong level, bouncing off of short padded walls to stay rolling down safely.

As the barrels rolled into a dark tunnel, you realized belatedly that you were standing in front of the exit tunnel. “Whoa!” Instinctively, you jump while the barrels quickly blast out of the chute. Somehow you end up running on top of the lead barrel. Reversing direction, you slow down the barrels shortly before a little padded area which is where a customer would normally retrieve requested fruit and/or vegetable barrels.

Ignoring the laugh of the other Sam Simeons, you continue through the produce section getting more bulk supplies of fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, and spices without further incident (except for the one barrel of female Herb from Ranma in a bunny outfit eating carrots).

“Let go of the damn starter!” You growl out as you pull a three gallon tub of sourdough starter towards you. The tub had a slightly golden glow around the lid and had a trio of french bakers printed on the side.

“Over my dead body!” A stocky man strained as he shifted his grip and tried yanking the tub out of your hand. The Jacob Kowalski’s (from Fantastic Beasts) curly hair was now out of its standard well kept appearance and his mustache was missing some patches. Several feet behind him a Peeta from Hunger Games was groaning in a pile of poppy seed breads, a fist full of hair in one hand.

Marinette shook her head as she watched the fight. She quickly checked if the coast was clear before grabbing the edges of the tablecloth and snatching up the expensive breads, doughs, and pastries on the table. She snuck away just as the tub you were fighting over slipped out of our hands and out of the Jacob’s.

“No! The Pierre-Vous Starter!” Jacob along with other customers gasped as the tub tumbled through the air and right into the hands of Alex. She blew a raspberry and ran after Marinette, just as planned.

You sprint down the aisle as fast as you could while an anthropomorphic Guinea Pig tried to keep up to you and was failing. You were carrying a couple of crates under your arms each with a different brand of soda. Meanwhile the Samson Clogmeyer in the Sams’ Club uniform was wheezing and trying not to drop a jar of cheeseballs. Shrieks roared behind the pair of you.

“Why did you have to call her old?!” You shouted at the idiotic and unlucky Character. About 15 yards behind the Samson Clogmeyer, a swarm of Bat Mobians from Sonic gave chase occasionally throwing random spiked balls and spears at you. It was probably a bad idea to run through the west sporting goods section.

“I didn’t mean to! I just … wanted to offer to get … a wheelchair! She looked like she needed one!” Samson rasped as his breathing got worse. “I was told to get them out ASAP!”

“Well, unless you got a big diamond or a dancing naked Knuckles, I doubt you’re gonna get Rouge and her colony to leave now!” You shouted, grabbing a boomerang from a shelf and throwing it behind you. The boomerang bounced through the air and intercepted a javelin and a discus before they could injure or worse the Sams’ Club employee. “And why are you still following me?!”

“I’m not!” One of your eyes twitch and you just glare back at him. “Okay! I figured security would show up if a customer was in danger. Please help me!”

You roll your eyes and look ahead to see if you could see anything you could use to get out of the current situation. Seeing a T intersection at the end of the current aisle, you slow down until you are beside Samson and you yell at the Guinea Pig, “Give me the cheeseballs and go left!”

“Okay!” As soon as the two of you hit the intersection, Samson turned and ran left while you feinted going left before diving for the right. Rolling to your feet, you flatten your back against the shelves of jars of marmalade. Just as planned, the swarm of bats met the intersection and went left, continuing their pursuit without glancing back at you.

“Now that was just cold Jimmy,” a sultry voice spoke up a few feet away while you were catching your breath.

“Hey Rouge, lovely day huh.”
