Suddenly, a blinding pain erupts from your back, as though someone has stabbed two knives into you from behind, and is gradually moving them down. As suddenly as it began, the pain stops, and you fall to the floor. It lasted less than ten seconds but it felt like hours. A blast of wind from the open window ruffles your hair, and as you begin to stand up, a feather falls in front of your face, and onto the floor. Gradually, you stand up and look in the mirror, shocked to see wings attached to your back, one white, on the right, one black, on the left.
