Contemplate his next move

"You know what? You take care of that ugly thing yourself.", said Reggie, who was certainly one to talk. "Just make sure you're in "uniform" by the time I get back.". And so, Reggie left to gather whatever it was he was going to get; certainly not anything good.

Alex considered his situation, and where he could go from here.

ALEX DeLEON, a 21-YEAR OLD MAN, moved into the city 8 MONTHS AGO. He rented an apartment from REGINALD "REGGIE" SOMBRECORAZON. Between then and now, he started dating VANESSA FRANCIS STEIN, his RICH GIRLFRIEND and daughter of businessman VICTOR STEIN. Somehow, he had ended up having GAY SEX with a MAN IN A LEATHER HARNESS, whose name he does not remember, and REGGIE obtained FOOTAGE of the event from a "friend of a friend".
Now, REGGIE is threatening to release the FOOTAGE to VANESSA, as well as FLORENCE DeLEON, Alex's INCREDIBLY HOMOPHOBIC MOTHER, if Alex doesn't have MORE GAY SEX with REGGIE.

Alex knows he wants to remain non-disowned by his MOTHER and to be able to access the STEIN FAMILY FUND. The most obvious way to do that is to prevent the FOOTAGE from being released by complying with REGGIE's demands, but being pushed around for who-knows-how-long is generally unpleasant and could get him into deeper trouble down the line.
Alex started to think about the steps to the process that could be disrupted.
If he destroyed the FOOTAGE, it could never be sent. That would require access to either the recipients' phones after the message is sent or Reggie's phone before it is sent. Reggie's phone seems like the easiest option, but he could probably get another copy of it from his "friend of a friend".
Alex could make a more psychological move and make the FOOTAGE seem illegitimate. If he found a close enough look-alike of himself on a porn site, he could probably convince them that was the real culprit. Claiming the footage is an AI deepfake would work on Vanessa, but not his mother, since she has no clue what a deepfake is and probably assumes it's a government conspiracy.
Over all, though, Vanessa isn't that important if he can get in bed with her father - metaphorically, of course. Become bedfellows with him. Not to have gay sex with him. He probably doesn't swing that way, anyway. Not that Alex does, either. Except for that one day, but that was just a fluke, right?

In the time it took for Alex to think about all of that, Reggie had come back, and with him came a rolling suitcase.
"Dammit, kid. I told you to get rid of that sloppy thing, not make it harder!" Alex looked down, and sure enough, he had been absentmindedly touching himself during his musings, and his boner was absolutely throbbing.
"I guess I have to do everything myself."
