Chapter 2

What do you think about?
Conquering the Future (Conquest Route)
Your heart burns with fury as you think about how close you were. You held nearly the entire continent at one point, and it took the entire world to bring you down, but they couldn't keep you down. This time, you'll do it right, and unlike that foolish hero, you'll be damned sure they're dead and buried. The world will know your wrath, and this time not even fate itself will be stopping you.
Through sheer willpower, you **** yourself to get up. "This is nothing but a temporary setback, you've been through worse", you mutter to yourself under your breathe, trying to maintain your equilibrium. The first order of business is to establish yourself a base, a seat of power. You take a look around, and see that you're in the middle of a dense forest. Perhaps the topology of the land has changed during the time that you were gone. Casting a simple flying spell, you ascend to the skies, to see that the forest stretches far beyond your view, likely to be bigger than the Uija planes in the past. You cast your eyes east, where your home nation of Axalan would have been, but there's nothing but more trees. Of course, that was to be expected. After all, Axalan could not be expected to survive without you. To the west and south are all endless trees as far as eyes can see, but to the north, you see a small village built upon the shores of a lake. Such a small dwelling's existence is entirely meaningless to your plans however, and you proceed to land back down onto the ground.
The crater which marked the location of the seal is massive, and there's toppled trees and massive chunks of dirt everywhere from when you burst out of the seal. After thinking to yourself for a moment, you decide that this land here will be where your new seat of power will be situated. After all, what greater motivator is there than waking up everyday to see the location of one's greatest defeat? With that decided, you start transforming the terrain into something resembling the castle which was your home for the several centuries. Unfortunately, you almost immediately keel over just from the pain of the stomach cramps alone. It seems you seriously underestimated how much impact the millennia of imprisonment had you.
Of course, you had no intention of going down that easily. Kneeling on one knee, you **** yourself back up. In theory, casting without mana simply consumes your life **** instead, and since you're effectively immortal, there's no downside except for excruciating pain. Lot's of excruciating pain. Just turning a single rock into a brick was enough to leave you retching. But even so, you stay on your feet.
There's a new world out there waiting for you, and you wouldn't want to disappoint.
Are you successful?

Once the most feared tyrant in the land, your empire was defeated and you were sealed away beneath the earth for millennia by the heroes of legend. However, the flow of time is inevitable, as is your return. You awaken to a land which has forgotten you, and for the first time in a long time, you have options before you. Do you choose to once again ignite the flames of conquest, or perhaps reflect on your past and consider a more peaceful approach.
