How does she answers
Confused
She blinks twice, looks you up and down. Twice.
"Okay, but I can assure you that if we are not seeing Ms Ross's at the time you are supposed to be there, she is not gonna be happy. And then Ms Lewis is not gonna be happy, and you don't want that on your first day"
"So what's my solution? Dress like a girl until the afternoon, and I can get that sorted? Can't I have a male uniform? There are probably so many around, no?" you ask, quite lost
"I think it has to do with that new parity law or something, but I'm just one of the receptionists; I have no say in that. Ms Ross told me to get you changed and get to her before 8.", she answers, a small pity smile getting to her face.
"Tell you what, I help you in this uniform, we get you all perfect, I do a bit of makeup, as it's supposed to be required in the dress code. So she's happy, and might be able to do something for you. If you get on her bad side at 8 AM on your first day, you should quit as well, as the only thing you'll get this week is barks from her", she says, picking up the skirt hanger, holding it towards you
"Is it comfortable?" I ask
"The uniform? Yeah, it's okay. It's mostly clothes, not the most fun, but not uncomfortable; at some point, you get used to the heels"
