Confronting Jasper

The day had started fairly normal for Jasper. He had woken up from sleeping in his tent, he freshened up and had been going to go and find Esther to see what they should do next. He didn't expect to find her waiting in front his door. Even more surprising was the the outfit she was wearing.

"Good Morning, Jasper." She greeted. "Did you sleep well?" She questioned as she placed her arms behind her back, giving him ample view of her cleavage which was more visible to day than it usually was. He blushed a little at the sight not quite use to this display.

"Uh, I did." He stammered. "What about you, is everything alright?" He questioned. Leave it to Esther to be more concerned for him than herself. It wasn't him who had fallen **** yesterday in the dungeon.

"Oh, me. I'm feeling wonderful. Why I feel like a new person?" She chuckled. "I must admit, yesterday was a little rough. My clothes were ruined after all, but lucky for me, I had this back up outfit, even if its a little small." She commented as she gestured to herself. "Does it look good?" She asked him.

"Oh...ah...yeah...it looks nice....it really accentuates your....br- your bright eyes." He caught himself.

"That's good." She answered.

"So uh, is there anything I can help you with?" Jasper questioned.

"Ah yes, I almost forgot, did you by chance pick up any of the research material that was in the dungeon?" She questioned.

"Yeah, I did grab what I could."

"Excellent. I'm going to need you to hand it over to me right now." Esther told him. "I want to see if I can decipher what it means." She explained.

"Do you need it right now?" Jasper questioned.

"I'd rather not risk losing it. I want to make sure we know exactly what was in there, before you pawn it off." She told him. "Last thing you'd want is someone making off with some treasure map to find an ultimate weapon or some recipe for immortality." She joked.

"Okay. Why don't you give me a few minutes, I'll gather up the stuff while you make breakfast." Jasper commented.

"That won't be necessary." Esther quickly dismissed. Jasper glanced at her surprised by her sudden outburst. "I mean, I was thinking we could go to the nearby town and order something at a tavern." She quickly corrected. "I don't know about you but I could go for something...more filling." She explained.

"Oh...okay." Jasper agreed.

"Here, I'll help you gather the stuff." Esther insisted as she pulled him into the tent.
