The corrupted alicorn skidded across the marble floor, her leathery wings flaring to stop her momentum just before she crashed into the shattered remnants of the throne room doors. Her glowing, slit-pupiled eyes narrowed. She could feel the tide turning—their coordinated attacks were wearing her down. Luna's magic lashed out again, this time wrapping around Twilight's throat in an ethereal chokehold. Twilight gagged, her dark aura flickering as her focus wavered.
