What Does The Queen Decide?
Compromise
As Lady Narissa and Claudia came out to greet the returning queen and her party, they both saw that accompanying her was a swamp elf.
"My queen what is this thing doing here!"
"Lady Narissa I have come to a decision regarding the problem in these lands , but first I want you to look at this scoll."
Taking the scoll Narissa read it ,her face turning red in anger.
"Lies!" Narissa yelled
"Is it? Because I believe you were already aware of Ishton and his origins. No matter I will give you three my judgment." Arerto said taking back the the scoll.
"Three?! " Narissa asked confused.
"First the elves will continue living on the swamp lands and mine the minerals for a fair wage, but not as squatters but as citizens of Franconia!" Then turning to Claudia.
"Secondly, I want a union between Ishton and Claudia, they're child having both families blood, shall be your heir Narissa. The new couple will stay here and learn from you on how to run these lands!"
Claudia looked and shyly smiled at the handsome elf, who returned her smile.
"No I will not accept this!" Narissa screamed
"Aunt please calm... " Claudia warned
"No! I will not! "
"Are you disobeying my decree?!" Arerto asked acidly
" Yes! I will not tolerate this!"
" So be it warrioress confine her to her chambers!" Arerto ordered
Two warrioress stepped forward and dragged a screaming Narissa away. A few days later Ishton and Claudia were wed, as for Narissa she was stripped of her title and lands, and banished from the kingdom. Soon Arerto and her party returned to Castle Talia, the matter at the Eastern border resolved.
