I just could not resist continuing Elio’s story in the mansion and felt we needed to give our most popular star and the house some prominence as, at the time, I thought neither would have a big role to play in the third series. I also wanted to emphasise the sexual freedom which was now pervasive throughout the whole group. A strong feature of this series had been references to previous tales by the Brigata, so what better note to end on than to have Selena suck off Elio while he lay between the 2 other women? Of course, then he had to tell the actual story.

Aficionados of ‘The Decameron’ might have noticed that this story should have happened on the 7th day, but that was a particularly prolific day for us and we did not want to end the series in the middle of a day, so this tale was promoted to Day 6. It was a simple story featuring an idiot and a secret garden. We decided to keep the original rhyme in as it was quite funny. Casting the two Italians in the last episode would certainly garner some popularity with the locals, when we returned for the final season the following April. The sex was fairly straight forward apart from the stickiness of the food. I cannot tell you how many volunteers we had to make sure Monica was spotless clean apart from the ‘ectoplasm’ at the end.

I hold my hand up. I was a bit naughty considering the use of the word ‘ectoplasm’, but any reference which reminds people of ‘Ghostbusters’ and the great Bill Murray is fine with me. Why am I thinking of Scarlett Johansen’s arse now? Imagine if I had managed to catch her at the start of her career? End of series distractions I am afraid, which might explain the final pissing scene. I just felt “Sod it, let’s have some fun.” although the final joke works much better in English than Italian.
