Colin's plan

As Colin cleaned Harry up he also asked to borrow Hedwig to send the letter to his parents rather than rely on one of the school owls. Harry with some tears still leaking down his face had agreed, informing the Thrid Year Boy that since he did not get that much mail Colin could use her as much as he wanted. In his current emotional state forgetting that Hedwig was the only link, he had with Godfather.

Once again still in big brother mode, Colin had kissed Harry's forehead at the permission to use the beautiful snowy owl. He did not worry about it being noticed for something that Harry seemed to have forgotten was that the Creevy family lived just a few blocks away from Privat Drive and that Colin's father was actually the Dursley's milkman.

Wanting the clothing to be a surprise for Harry who Colin knew never really got that many good surprises in his life as soon as he finished cleaning Harry up and used magic to clean and dry Harry's clothes he dropped the older boy off with Dennis and his friends. Colin felt a lurch of big brotherly love to both Harry and Dennis as Harry rushed over to the group of First Years and threw himself at Dennis for a hug his smaller body even smaller than the group of eleven-year-old students. Colin watched as Dennis was able to make Harry laugh by twirling him around a little producing a childish giggle from the fourteen-year-old boy making him seem even younger than Colin's initial estimate based on his age.

Going up to his dorm room Colin collected a large cardboard box placing some spells on it to make it hold more than its size should indicate as well as making it feathery light. Colin had quickly written a note to his dad asking for any of Dennis' old clothing from toddlerhood to age seven or eight. His plan was he could just use his Magic to make the clothing bigger so he could get Harry a larger wardrobe.

As he headed down to the Owlery, Colin overheard Harry's former friend talking to the other Fourth Year boys about blocking Harry from sleeping in their room anymore until Harry admitted that he had put his name in the Goblet of Fire. Colin knew that would not happen for Harry had not put his name in as both the boys in his year and Dennis' roommates understood and accepted. Which was something that Colin thought Harry's former friend would have done as well.

Knowing that Harry might need Dennis' old clothes as soon as possible especially if he could not go back to his room to get his own thanks to Ron, Colin told Hedwig to fly as fast as she could and wait for the box to be handed back to her before she returned. The snowy owl hooted that it understood somehow seeing a new connection between Colin and her owner and knowing the younger boy was looking out for her human.

It seemed Ron had been able to convince his roommates to go through with his plan or managed to set up the Ward against Harry himself for at the time Colin and his roommates were getting ready for bed there was a soft knock at the door. Opening it up they saw Harry with tears in his eyes saying he had been barred from his room and asking if he could stay with them until he had a chance to talk to Professor McGonagall the next day. He was allowed inside hugging each of Colin's roommates before he buried his head into Colin's chest crying his eyes out.

Colin patted Harry's back worried that Professor McGonagall would not actually help, since she had done nothing to the bullying Harry had received up to now anyway. Colin who had sometimes comforted Dennis if his younger brother had nightmares when they were younger and their dad was out of the house had no issue with Harry joining him in his bed. But as the others in the room went to sleep Colin brought out his wand and just in case Harry forgot to get up if he needed to go the bathroom during the night transfigured Harry's over larger and ratty boxers into a pair of nighttime training pants.

Harry had not reacted to the change for he had already been asleep curled into Colin's larger form sucking his thumb. Wishing Harry goodnight Colin kissed the older boy's forehead and wrapped his arms protectively around him before going to sleep as well
