Cocktails !

"More cocktails, more cocktails !" Debbi was banging the table. She was getting quite exuberant and was becoming the centre of attention for the predominantly male clientele of the lounge. Roger signalled to the barman for the same again. Even he had lost count of whether this would be the fifth or sixth. It would in fact be the sixth ! "Count me out. I'm going to go and crash" said Carol with the hint of a slur. "No stamina" Debbi teased her friend. There was a new drink waiting for her and although she protested, she gulped down the remainder of the one she had and lifted the new one.
