Cobra Woman

You skim the Book of Summoning, and visions of forgotten heroes and villains from the past flood your mind. These are the souls that remain in the Akashic Reservoir, the public domain of souls. You can feel their longing to be called back, to return to the world of the living, because they believe they have more to do.

"Who is she?" you ask the book, your gaze fixed on a seductive villainess dressed in a green costume. Her dance is hypnotic and mesmerizing as she writhes and twists her body like a snake.

"Cobra Woman, or Veda Kane," the book answers. "Veda was an exotic Indian dancer who married the wealthy American rubber tycoon Peter Kane in 1942. She then put cobra poison on her lips to kill both Peter Kane and her drunk stepson, Peter Kane Jr., with a kiss, in order to gain their fortune. In addition to having the kiss of ****, Veda kept a huge cobra in her room, which she worshiped as a god. She was said to move and dance like a snake, and at least one observer said that she looked like a cobra. Her plot was foiled by the famous police reporter Chic Carter, who deduced she seduced and killed her young, drunken stepson and her old, rich husband using cobra venom. He killed the huge cobra she kept in her room. Instead of accepting arrest, Veda killed herself."

"A murderess who killed herself over eighty years ago after her plot was foiled by the hero," you muse, unsurprised that she wants another shot at life. You watch her seductive, hypnotic dance, the way her body writhes like a snake, and you make your decision. "Cobra Woman. Veda Kane. I call you back to the world of the living! I summon you!"
