Cloud Retainer (Spoiler Warning)

Osial opened his new eyes looking around as he inspected his new body. He had taken the blue illuminated crane, the wretched machinist who had helped to design those ballistics that had beaten him. Osial spread out his new wings as he paraded himself around in Cloud Retainer's body. This overgrown bird may not have been his ideal choice, but her knowledge could prove very useful for him in future.

As he invaded her thoughts, he found no end to ideas of machines she could devise along with many other secrets. Not only was she a genius, but she also seemed to serve as the Master for quite a few disciples, human or not, despite her introverted tendencies. This could do well for him as he now had potential pawns for his plans, so he would need to be careful.

Now he would just need to start planning his ****, preferably in some place a lot more private. He searched through Cloud Retainer's memories for her abode where he could take refuge. Unfortunately for the Overlord of the Vortex, Cloud Retainer lived in the mountain tops.

"Damn you, Morax." He cursed with his new voice. He was not a fan of being away from the sea. Just the idea of taking a body from a surface dweller had already left him feeling awkward, now he would need to go to top of the mountains.

He made an attempt to fly, opening his new wings and making an attempt to ascend into the sky. It did not work. Whether it be his unfamiliarity with his new body or just his general discomfort with the air. He could not get himself off the ground. The moment he felt his feet leave the ground, Osial would panic and fall back down.

Air wasn't like water. Even if you could weightless in it, it was less present than water. Water was soothing, it could hold you in a comforting embrace as you moved around. You never worried about falling in water, for it always caught you and slowed your descent. Osial realized he would clearly not be able to fly with this body.

He looked into Cloud Retainer's memories for a solution. The path to her home was accessible via walking and hiking. That he could manage, how Cloud Retainer's current form would be too ill suited for that. Not to mention the questions that could be raised if anyone saw the normally capable Adepti walking instead of flying. Glancing through her memories once more, Osial found something interesting...Cloud Retainer's human form.

Much like many divine beings, Cloud Retainer could change her shape. It was an ability Osial himself had rarely used but was aware of. He had never needed it to move before, but given the situation it seemed like he would indeed need to transform Cloud Retainer's body. Looking into her memories Osial found just what her human form looked like.

Focus on the adeptal power, Osial began transform his host. The changes were not pleasant. His thin crane legs began to morph and grow increasing in size as they turned to human legs. Likewise he felt the Cloud Retainer's wing be **** open as many of her bones began to warp and straighten, turning into human shoulders and then arms. He felt the feathers that adorned his new body begin to shrivel and fall off, disappearing into little embers of light as he body remained in nothing more than bare flesh.

His host's physiology warped and stretched as it was transformed from a bird into a human. As his former wings began to stretch out, five protrusions emerged from each side, making human fingers. The Avain body of Cloud Retainer had become that of a human, her spine stretching and contorting to match that of tall female. Her skin bulged and stretched as it reshaped itself, allowing for new muscles and organs to form alongside the changes to some of her previous ones. Cloud Retainer's beak had disappeared leaving her a bare and empty hole in her head. This hole was soon filled as the skull reshaped formed a mouth full of teeth while rearranging the form host's bird face in to that of a woman's.

As Osial kept going he felt more changes coming with his host. Two protrusion emerged from his chest, female mammaries if he recalled, as did a new slit form at the base of his torse. Finally he could feel the rippling in his scalp as a head of new hair was formed to cover the top of his host.

Osial looked down at his host's new form. She was no longer the bright illuminated bird from before. Now in her place was a tall young woman, with light navy hair. She was slender with a physique many mortal would lust and envy over. Osial smiled as he realized just how attractive his host could be upon closer insepction. Mortal were always quick to make mistakes for their own self pleasure, and with a body like this he suppose he could get them to bend quite easily now.

However he needed to wait a little more. Waving his new slender human arm, he materialized new clothes for his body based on her previous memories.

Her hair was now tied in a high-ponytail secured with a hairpin that resembles the sharpness of a crane. A pair of red glasses now adorn her face, as a flowy and dress-like outfit adorn her body in many white, greens, blues, and yellows colors, alongside many pendants. There body wore high heels, invoking the same careful foot placement as the crane form had long before. Osial lifted up a hand noticing how Cloud Retainer's fingers seemed to retain a talon like appearance from her bird form that was well covered in black glove like skin.

Pushing his new glasses up on his face, Osial proceeded to walk towards his new abode, mind already brainstorming new plans to destroy Liyue, with one of its own Adepti as his instrument of destruction.
