City hall corruption

Going through the leads Laura has set aside for you, there are a few that seem interesting. Pollution by a upstate candy factory, an exclusive escort service for high-end customers, sightings of armed mole people. Then one catches your eye. Corruption in city hall.

Of course, there's nothing unusual about corruption in local politics. It happened everywhere, and probably everyday. However, the source in the notes claims that one of interns at city hall was having an affair with the mayor. Apparently, another jealous intern had found out about the affair and tried to **** the mayor. That intern was later found shot dead in a bad part of town, and the police had attributed it to a mugging gone wrong.

According to the source, multiple aides were involved in the cover-up and subsequently bribing of the police. It was unclear who had pulled the trigger. At the bottom of the notes was the name and address of the intern the mayor was sleeping with: Ashley Adams. Attached to the back with a paper clip, was also a cut out of a Tribune article about the murdered intern.

The story had the potential to take down a mayor, which would further enhance your reputation and likely cement your position as the face of the Tribune. You glance at the clock and it's only around noon. The intern, Ashley, would still be at work. You want to confront her at home where she'll be alone, so you decide to take a break from work and go out to do your part to fight crime and save people.
