Ciri in trouble

“Ciri run!” Geralt barked drawing his sword attacking the nearest soldier before burning him Ciri pulled his shoulder, “It’s too late. Look!” She pointed at the bearded man with his wife, “There has to be a way!” Yennefer yelled looking at the courtyard and pointing at the temple stopped when they saw Persephone stand in front of it along with Vasan. “Please!” Yennefer begged but shaking her head spoke, “This isn’t my concern...” “She is James’ friend!” “A friend, that’s it...” Yennefer looked down before nodding spoke, “And now I see why he hates you all!” she muttered a spell and watching the crow fly away commented, “Maybe someone with have some sanity!” “Oh really? Tell me what’s so wrong in him correcting his mistakes? He has also promised to stop the incident between Krisi and Athena!” “You believe that? He will probably kill James or send him away at least James means something to us now! You said to us yourself you can’t trust him!” she looked back and seeing Zeus standing there with his arms folded barked, “Ciri come with us, we will only take you for a short while then you can come back, I promise!” “And what be your toy? According to James you have made so many mistakes that you would be here for decades fixing them!” Geralt growled protecting Ciri, they looked around to see the other gods watch but to their surprise they didn’t surround them just watched, “Let’s get started!” “No! James warned me of your lies and betrayals!” Zeus shook his head before saying, “You believe that creature? The one who lives under ground?” “I trust him not to lie or deceive me! He has been honest to me, he isn’t always right but he is honest!” Geralt drew his sword before saying, “I will defend her to my last action Zeus maybe you could learn How to defend your children to instead of just making more!” Zeus laughed before saying, “Okay a deal...one of you will fight me, if I win she comes, you win and I will be dead so you wouldn’t need to worry!” Geralt turned around and looking at the others whispered, “I will have to do it!” Hermes shook his head before saying, “You won’t win...it’s almost impossible to kill him and he will easily overpower you. A god has to fight!” they looked at him causing Hermes to back out of it, “But not me, I am not a fighter at all!” Geralt looked down before drawing his sword, “Me then!” it was then they heard a rumble as a portal shot open and watching the courtyard start to wither this made Ciri to smile as they all heard, “What is going on?”

I sat down sharpening my sword, one thing I remembered from my short time with Vesemir was to always look after your swords, so sharpening the blade until it would cut an normal skinned being smiled with my work, I had learned many things and one was hopping through mini portals being created to support a short hop between realms. I tried to create one to hop to the next room but seeing a crow fly in watched as it squawked dropping a piece of ashen air into my hand, I sniffed the scent before looking over to it spoke, “Ciri? What’s wrong?” it squawked rapidly and restless before disappearing. I rushed for my helmet before grabbing my knives placed them in their slots before grabbing my Bident and Athena’s shield which was placed on my back took a breath, “To Ciri! To Ciri! To Ciri!” I chanted closing my eyes before swiping my hands in a circle motion stepped on through...

Present day

“James” I nodded hugging Ciri then, turning to Zeus asked, “What are you doing?” Zeus played with his thumbs nervously before defensively spoke, “I wanted to use Ciri to go back and correct the wrongs in my life but also that event!” I laughed before saying, “You think I want you to? I could have asked Ciri when I helped her months back to do it! But I sense you are lying...so tell me Zeus what are you doing or trying to do with Ciri?” Yennefer growled before walking forward spoke, “He wants to use her as his toy to fix every mistake ever, then will probably make her have a child so when Ciri burns out he will be able to use the child! We won’t stand for it!” I looked at Persephone before asking, “What is their stand point on it?” Triss walked forward before saying, “Not getting involved apparently it’s none of their concern! Please don’t side with them! Please!” I laughed before adjusting my armour spoke, “Good! It means I am doing the right thing” I turned to Zeus before saying, “I have waited so long to tell you this: I am going to tear you apart and piss on the pieces!” he growled standing tall yelling, “You agree to this and you will lose everything” I laughed before saying, “That is where you are wrong... I have nothing to lose!” pushing him away I turned back to face Geralt before whispering, “If I die and they come after you... press this, it opens all the cells in the prison and they have orders to raise hell on all the realms! This will allow Ciri and you all to escape back to Earth...okay you will be no more than a ghost but you will be free to roam!” he nodded taking it as I turned around to ready myself. Zeus smiled because he had a plan and this was in the form of Dionysius, Ares and Hera joining his side, “Zeus this isn’t fair!” Hades snapped, “Either join us or piss off!” Zeus spoke and kneeling I spoke, “I die for the honour, sacrifice and my family!” I looked back to see Lambert drawing his sword snapped, “Well fuck this. If he is going to die then I at least want to know he died with me fighting by his side!” Eskel nodded before drawing his sword spoke, “Yeah me too!” Vesemir drew his sword before agreeing spoke, “If you are family to Ciri then you are family of ours. Even if your true family don’t think so!” Zeus laughed at them before throwing a bolt at Vesemir was met by me catching it and throwing it back wounding Ares’ arm, Lambert clicked his knuckles before walking forward was pushed back by a large metal gauntlet hand causing him to look up and Hades to look down at him standing in his way, “For soooo long I have listened and followed you, respecting your decisions and your place but no more. One on one is fair but you know you can’t best him by yourself so you get help knowing only the humans would support him! It’s about time the Underworld stood together” he drew his large bladed axe before we looked over to see Persephone stand in the way of Vesemir, “As the humans say you fuck with family, I am going to come for you...Bitch!” Hera laughed before saying, “You...what are you going to do? Flower me to death!” she took Hades Bident off me causing me to draw my sword as she spoke, “Who do you think taught James and Than to fight?” Hera’s laugh fell away leaving an disgusted look. Dionysius counted the numbers and signalled the numbers 3 to 4. The room went dark before seeing the red eyes and red specks of hair, Thánatos walked in with his sword, “My son is fighting Zeus? You know what they say? Father like son!” Ares laughed before saying, “What about all these?” and looking around we saw the bands of Isu warriors causing Vesemir to speak, “Now these we can kill!” it was then when Cersei and Sansa took a sword from the Witcher’s and Brienne walked in with Vasan and Talai with their weapons, then came Leto and her children, Artemis and Apollo and finally Aphrodite. “We are family James, it’s finally time we make it up to you and show we actually care about you!” Zeus threatened by this looked around but nodding at Hades he agreed, “Now!”

We charged into our respective opponents presently Zeus a chance to back down and met with an cloud of swords and golden light. Zeus swung his staff at me as I met him with my sword. Shot after shot was countered or block with the odd shot landing on each person, he used the staff like a club hitting me in the chest plate and I landed cuts to his chest, I looked over to Persephone who ducking impaled Hera on the pronged weapon before pushing her back seeing the goddess clutch in pain, I looked back seeing Cersei in trouble so using my spare hand threw a knife killing the warrior behind her before turning back to be met by a massive swing from Zeus, I used the sword to block but before being forced back he laughed leaping up to try and force the staff down, I rolled and clutching his head he began to cry out seeing the skin chip away before using the staff to hit me in the head causing me to lose my grip but seeing his leg start to fall away growled, I reached for my second knife from my belt and pushing it into his gut but was met with another blow I looked back to see Heracles attack me I looked up from the ground before placing my hand against the floor felt it break as we fell to land the below. We hurdled to the ground and landing with a thump I pulled myself up to see Zeus wounded and Heracles dazed, I picked my sword up from the ground and lining his throat up was met by Heracles who tackled me to the ground and started to squeeze at my neck, “I won’t let you kill my father!” “He caused this and thinks going back in time will save it. You can’t claim to have learned your lesson because you’re under threat. It doesn’t work like that!” I grabbed his face and crying he saw his skin fall off in big pieces and his cheek bone chip away as he released and punched me. I got up before feeling another blow tapped his head causing him to fall to his knees in pain, “Megs death haunts you doesn’t it? What about the other women” he cried out in pain causing me to lift my sword and attacking Zeus again he threw bolt after bolt after me, I knelt down behind the shield before throwing it at Zeus knocked him back until I felt Perseus attack me, I dodged his swings before retrieving the shield blocked his next strike and kicked Zeus back. Perseus swung shot after shot but couldn’t break through my defence until I used him as cover for Zeus’ next attack which sent his sword through the son’s chest, I stabbed Zeus in his stomach he fell backwards to the ground and saw me speak, “This is for Medusa!” before cutting Perseus’ head off. Zeus looked away as I grabbed his lightning bolt and seeing it turn black watched me push it through Hercules eye and watch the man wail before his body lay still.

Geralt swung his sword killing the warriors who came, it was like a battle royal but these “guards” were average at best. He looked back to see Persephone push the Bident down to slice the head off (Hera’s) before nodding joined in fighting the others. He saw Thánatos push Dionysius back as Hades dodged another strike but was still on the defensive against the better fighter in Ares. “Geralt What are you doing?” Lambert queried and looking back he said, “Cover me!” he nodded blocking the access to Geralt who dodging rolling past the the guards used Igni to cause the metal to melt as he rushed up and using the broken stone to leap over and leapt up towards Ares pushing his sword through helmet and head. Hades getting up nodded swinging his Axe to cut through Ares chest missing Geralt by inches but seeing Ares fall to the floor in half and Hades to help Geralt up, “I owe you Geralt! I thought he had me!” “James is a friend and you are his family even if you are a bit late to stop the years of damage he has suffered!” they looked over and seeing Dionysius be thrown over the side fell through the gated fence as Vesemir in a swing decapitated him. “We need to hold them off!” Hades barked assigning Geralt to help Persephone on the right whilst he and Thánatos helped the struggling left until they were all pushed forward by an massive bang of golden light.

I walked up to Zeus who in desperation drove his knife into my leg before getting up he spat, “It doesn’t have to be like this!” I laughed before saying, “Eventually it would have been Zeus, we hate each other you just didn’t know you hated me!” “Why is she so special to you?” I pulled my knife out and throwing it into his back laughed before saying, “Because she hasn’t had a chance to live a life! Zeus you did and fucked it up with your choices, I did, her father did but she didn’t! You don’t have the right to affect hers just to help your own!” he looked at me grabbing his staff as I grabbed my sword, “I have tried to be a good guy for soo long and will continue to be the good guy if it means stopping people like you. Look at Hera...she was loyal to you and you slept with everyone else, she even died defending you! I respect that but you? I got none for!” he laughed before saying, “You know she is dangerous, she could destroy this world!” I looked down at the leg wound before snarling, “Only if you treat her as an villain! She could help us if she wanted to, help us to learn and understand the value of our actions or she could not even bother like she wants to...she wants to be free!” he swung his staff at me and this was returned with my sword and seeing a glow come from his staff then exploding on the impact we fell backwards and the floor above to collapse further inwards.

“James, no James!” Ciri yelled looking down at the hole feeling more bricks crumble as she cried out again, “Ciri, afterwards me need to keep on fighting!” Vesemir barked and getting up she remained looking down at it until the last few moments before continuing to fight. When the cloud settled, I pushed the stone off my body before seeing the stone splinters inside my shoulder and chest. I pulled the first one out before grabbing my sword walked over to the crushed god who spoke, “You know something James? I never said it but I respect you, your job and role was vital to us and the damage your suffered but still carried on made me respect you even more; no one else could have done it. It’s just went to pot!” I listened pulling another piece out heard, “In all my years as ruler, who would have thought your rebellion would lead to my demise!” I looked down at him before saying, “If this was rebellion I would have taken your crown. This is just me standing up for my friends!” “Oh I think Ciri is more to you then just a friend. It’s a good thing...because you aren’t corrupted by the luxuries of our realms!” he looked at my sword before nodding coughed, “Do it!” “I admit, I would have preferred to punish you more but this will have to do!” I pushed the sword through his neck twisting it before hearing the crack grabbed his hair and carried it out, still covered in splinters, there had to be a way out.

The fighting continued Hephaestus and the other gods had joined the fighting and Ciri distracted like Triss spent their time checking up on James. It was ten minutes later they stopped to see me walk up with my sword, killing the nearest guard who rushed towards me as I yelled, “Stoppppp!!!” the crowds stopped before looking over to me held the head up before continuing, “The King is dead! We have won now! Stand down!” Hephaestus nodded as he ordered the command. “James?!” Ciri cried running up to me as hugged me tightly, “You are free!” she smiled before trying to pull a piece of stone from me spoke, “Geralt help!” she held my body with Triss as he started to pull the Splinters out whilst Triss hugged me tighter from the back kissing my neck, “You did it James! I can’t believe it!” I laughed before saying, “With my luck I couldn’t even die even if I wanted to!” she hugged me tighter before looking over to Hades and the other dead gods Hades spoke, “Who rules?” “Zeus wanted Ciri and me...but I don’t want it, I’ve had enough and Ciri wouldn’t be free. It’s her choice but I have other business to worry about. We just need someone who isn’t corrupt!” they sighed before looking down and around trying to think caused me to say, “A Isu must sit on the throne but Hades would bring torment, Persephone arrogance and Thánatos would bring death, it’s his nature! I say put Artemis on it!” I got up and started to walk away when I was approached by Ciri who asked, “Where are you going?” and looking back down to the portal I had created I spoke, “I have saved you, that is what the message entailed and I have floors to mop!” I looked at Persephone before putting her hand on my shoulder spoke, “You were always too humble for your own good. You could claim all the women Zeus had treated poorly and yet you still end up alone!?” I shrugged before saying, “I’m not like that!” she sighed before saying, “Pick one, take one please! You deserve something for a reward; you just killed the bastard king!” I looked around before shaking my head spoke, “I don’t deserve anything so beautiful!” looking at Triss and Ciri causing Persephone to speak, “You deserve either of them more then I deserve Vasan, Hades deserves Talai among others!” I shook my head before walking away spoke, “If you want to give me something then a new bucket and more ledgers would be ideal. Oh and more ink!” I started to walk away again when I heard, “James wait...”
