We all funneled into the pews and sat down. Unfortunately for mom we did end up sitting next to Wendy. Mom avoiding conflict sat furthest from her and my sisters decided to push me closest to her.

The minister starts talking and we all went quiet. Paying attention to the sermon.

'She's my mom's friend. They use to work at the same firm but now she's a prosecutor'
