Christmas Concert: Leah talks with Jason during the Intermission

The lights came on faster than she had anticipated and Jason made an announcement that it was time for a short intermission. Many people took the opportunity to stretch their legs, use the bathroom, and grab more cookies from the auditorium hallway.

Jason saw Leah and approached her. They greeted awkwardly and he asked her why she had met with Mr. Howard.

"I saw you go off with Principal Howard--everything okay?" He asked, his eyes giving a hint of jealousy and suspicion mixed with actual curiosity. {endif}

The high school concert was in full swing, and the band was playing some of her favorite Christmas carols. As she sat in the back row, she couldn't help but feel small and insignificant, lost in the sea of students, parents, and teachers.
