Chris' Scavenger Hunt

After your classes end, you hang out by the lockers with Chris, Amy, and Alexandra. The four of you were inseparable even before you began dating everyone in your senior year. Now, despite everything that's happened, the conversations you have haven't really changed. You still like to discuss weekend plans and movies while occasionally catching your other girlfriends leaving for the day or coming in early for Night School.

"God, that math test was brutal!" Alexandra moans. "I swear, I'm gonna flunk this class!"

"Can't you put some of that charm of yours to good use?" Amy teases you.

"I've tried that," you say. "Ms. Florence isn't even willing to boost my grades. She said she can tutor us, though."

"Oh yeah, that's what I want to spend my weekend doing with my boyfriend's other girlfriend," Chris says sarcastically.

As you laugh, you look down the hallway to see Candy coming towards you. Your eyes lock briefly, and her mood sours instantly. She rearranges her backpack and turns around, nearly knocking over Madison and Karishma as she does so.

"She still pissed?" Amy asks. "What is up with her?"

"She's been like this for years," you say dejectedly. "I've pretty much given up."

Chris shakes her head. "I'm not. I'm sick and tired of her attitude. She only ever treats the cheerleaders and popular girls nicely, and that lasts until they run into you. She needs to just fuck you and get it over with."

You nearly drop your books in shock. "Wait, what? Chris, that's ridiculous! Candy hates my guts!"

The three girls give you confused looks. "You're dating our entire senior year, the principal, monsters, and Greek fucking gods! Candy's where you draw the line?"

"When you say it like that...No, Candy's not Dana or Hera or Sasha," you say.

Chris takes out a large piece of paper. You can't see what everything on it, but there are signatures written on it. They seem to be the names of your girlfriends, primarily the cheerleaders. Chris also takes her phone and begins texting someone. "Oh, you of little faith, Sam."

As she sends the text, Amy and Alexandra's phones beep. Amy smiles mischieviously as she reads her message. "Ooh! Tonight's gonna be fun!"

You hate it when the girls leave you out of their plans. "What's fun? What's going on?"

Chris smiles and closes her locker. "Tell you what, Sam. Come over to Rebecca's house tonight. We're all meeting there for something important."

Before you can ask another question, Alexandra gives you a kiss on the cheek. "See you tonight, Sam!"

Amy slaps your butt before running to catch up with the other three. You groan and begin packing your locker, musing that sometimes the Night School girls were easier to understand than the human ones.
