Choose a guest or staff

Since there’s plenty of time, the best thing is to scope out the place. Gunther mentioned monitoring along with the aspects of the new pen. If they can track you (and maybe more. So you take a stroll down the wing where the signs point to the Harmony Garden. It's a rather confusing path of twisting and connecting hallways. The place must have had many additions that were just added on the last. The decor is consistent, but you can tell where the structures keep changing. Obviously, there isn't going to be a quick escape if things go awry, at least not back to the front or through the hotel.

Finally, there's a set of French doors, with white sheer curtains propped open revealing the outside. A wide walkway meanders through a flower bed towards a very large tree surrounded by hedges. The garden itself is closed off with one of those velvet ropes strung across an archway of blooming vines with small white and pale blue blossoms. It's fancy, secluded, and a bustle with hotel staff.

From what you can see, there are several entrances disguised through the hedges for staff to disappear and make their way to and from the kitchen and other parts of the hotel. It might be possible to circle around and catch one by surprise, but it would be more fun, and probably raise your grade, if you were part of the wedding party. So you retrace your steps and head up to the fourth floor to check out room 407.

You take one step off the elevator and are promptly intercepted by stocky woman in a floral print dress that accentuates her endowments - a large belly and sinking breasts that almost meet.

"Can I help you young man? This floor is for the wedding party," she toots in a snooty Northeastern accent.

The hall is swarming with staff and possibly personal assistants. Do they still call them servants? The woman's expression and tone is quite clear that you won't be going anywhere near room 407, so you catch yourself and look completely surprised.

"So sorry." You swivel your head to look back at the floor indicator. "I thought this was the next floor." Fortunately, you had punched "5" as well so that when she eases her head through the doors, she sees the button lit. You back in and smile, "Wedding, huh? Lovely day for it. Please give my best wishes to the bride and groom."

The door closes as the lady mumbles a thank-you, and you ride up one more floor. Strolling down it, you figure that getting the bride or one of the bridesmaids is not going to happen, at least not without some very careful maneuvering.

The end of the hall has a window that, fortuitously overlooks the wedding venue. Next to it is room 511, right above 411 and one of the bridesmaids. You were number two in the class for picking locks. Perhaps you can go through here and drop down on whoever is in 411. It's risky, again the extra points for success would mean a lot. You lean over and hear an announcer for a sports game, obviously the TV and someone in the room.

It seems that fate is out to thwart you at each turn. Of course, you could use the pen on whoever is inside. You check on room 512 across the hall considering the same option. There are voices talking. Taking two is extremely difficult, but possible.

You look back out the window at the lawn with chairs and the altar set under a rose covered arbor as you weigh the possibilities. You're sure it would be easy to catch a staff person, but that is the easy way. This is your first real test, so they can't expect too much, but inside you want to impress them and move up in the organization. After all, you still don't know who or what is behind all this.

As you turn back to the elevator, the door to 511 suddenly opens. Fortunately, you're not seen as they rush down the hall, but you will be seen when they turn around in the elevator.
