Chapter 12

How does Jack react?
Chloe doesn't tell him
I sat there in my new kitchen, worrying about how my new neighbor, Jack, would react to my behavior towards his wife. I knew I had behaved badly, that I shouldn't have been ogling her, and I hoped that I hadn't screwed up my relationship with my neighbors only hours after moving in. About fifteen minutes later, I saw Jack return from the store, carrying two large grocery bags and whistling happily. I wonder how long he'll be happy, I worried as I sat there, surreptitiously watching the Grayson's house.
Chloe came out to meet her husband, taking one of the bags from him, and saying something that I couldn't hear. It was obviously about me as both Chloe and Jack kept shooting glances at my house. Neither one looked angry, or upset, in fact Chloe was smiling happily and Jack just had a worried look on his face as they carried their groceries to the house.
When neither one of them reappeared in the next half an hour, I put my worrying aside and went back to unpacking my belongings. A few hours later, I was exhausted and headed upstairs to bed. As I walked into the bathroom, I instinctively glanced out the window, pausing when once again I saw my attractive neighbor standing there facing away from me, her curtains once more tied back as she pushes her black yoga pants down off her hips, bending over slightly as she pushes the tight leggings down off her thighs.
"Christ, not again," I muttered, trying to decide if I should just turn away or risk taking another peek at Chloe as she changed.
Turn away or risk it?
