Chen Mei

A few days later, I was alone in the house. Fang Qiong was out shopping and my servants were running errands. I was sitting on the couch, reading a book, when suddenly there was a knock on the door.

I put down my book and went to open it. To my surprise, it was Chen Mei, my step sister.

She was back from her trip with our mother.

"Hi, Brother," she said with a small smile on her face.

I hugged her and said, "Welcome back, Sister. How was the trip?"

She shrugged and said, "It was okay. I missed you guys."

I laughed and said, "We missed you too."

I then led her inside and offered her some tea. She accepted and we sat down in the living room.

I looked at my sister and realized that she had grown up. She was no longer the little girl I remembered. Instead, she was a beautiful young woman. After our father's **** our mother was not available much. We both were each other support during those dark days.

She noticed me staring at her and blushed. "What? Do I have something on my face?"

I quickly averted my gaze and said, "No, nothing. You look great."

She smiled and said, "Thanks."

We then made small talk for a while before she said, "So, how's school going?"

I shrugged and said, "It's okay. Nothing special."

Just then, Fang Qiong came back. She was carrying several bags and was sweating profusely.

I quickly went to help her and took the bags from her. She smiled and said, "Thanks, Babe."

She then noticed Chen Mei and exclaimed, "Sister!"

Chen Mei stood up and they hugged each other tightly. I watched them with a smile on my face.

They then sat down and talked about their respective lives. I listened quietly, occasionally adding my own thoughts.

After a while, Fang Qiong took Chen Mei to her room to show her all the clothes she had bought. I stayed behind leaving the girls to enjoy.
