Finally their waitress came over and both of their jaws dropped as they saw Chelsea sporting a huge grin as she instantly recognized Alice and Arnold. “Oh… aren’t you adorable,” she said. “The two biggest losers are on a date together.”
Alice blushed and looked away. While Arnold gulped. He had developed a little bit of a crush on Chelsea but he didn’t want to be disrespectful to Alice.
“We’re ready to order,” Alice said as she hoped to get this over with.
Chelsea grinned and said. “Alright. Alice, you probably could use the salad. Don’t want to turn into a whale after your date. And Arnold, you could probably use the hotdog so you can know what wiener is supposed to look like.”
Alice squirmed and Arnold nearly choked. “N-no…” Alice said. “I’d actually like the 6 ounce steak with the loaded sweet potatoes.”
“And I’ll have the pork chop with apple sauce,” Arnold said taking Alice’s lead.
Chelsea grinned. “At least you’ll be able to use the marshmallows to compare sizes,” she said to Alice.
Chelsea finally walked away as Alice looked less pleased to be here.
“Why does she have to ruin everything,” Alice grumbled in frustration.
“Let’s try to ignore her existence,” Arnold suggested as he took Alice’s hand.
Alice smiled feeling comfortable with Arnold. “Thanks,” she said.
