Cheerleading Captain is there

“Hey, Lexi!” Megan, the head cheerleader said as she approached Alexa at the bus stop. “You ready for tonight?”

“What’s tonight?” Alexa asked.

“Don’t you remember? You’re hosting the sleepover this time. You know, the one we have every month. You’ve skipped out so far, but now you’re the only one who hasn’t hosted a sleepover for the team,” Megan said. “And somehow you always conveniently have to go home early. Well, now you have no excuses.”

Alexa’s eyes widened. She had forgotten about the sleepovers. “I… I can’t host a sleepover!” Alexa said.

“Why not?” Megan asked.

“My mom won’t let me!” Alexa said, frantically.

“Actually, I already talked to your mom,” Megan said. “She said that it sounds good, but it’s up to you. So Lexi, why don’t you want to host the sleepover?”

Alexa gulped. “Fine, I’ll host it,” she said. “But only if I can invite Michelle.”

“What, is she your girlfriend or something?” Megan laughed. “Fine, you can invite your friend as long as you host the sleepover.”

“Fine,” Alexa said.

Just then the bus pulled up and the girls climbed into the bus. Alexa went and sat next to Michelle in the back.
