Chapter 11
by
Imhotep
What's going on downtown?
Check out the diner.
You walk several blocks with two beautiful coeds on either side. Ellen holds her hand firmly in yours, and your arms swing together slightly as you walk along the sidewalk. Amy acts as an unofficial tour guide, having been at Widley longer than Ellen, and having heard many of the legends that have been passed down on campus, and around the small town. She points out a bar that was supposedly frequented by John Dillinger, and a small hotel where Sarah Bernhardt stayed while touring the country at the turn of the century. She also tells a couple of stories involving other coeds from the dorm, they’re pretty wild, and Amy says she’s not sure if they’re true, but they make for a good story.
By the time she finishes the last story, you find yourself standing in front of a pristine example of a 1950’s era dinner. Its shiny chrome exterior is polished to a mirror like finish, and the blue and green neon sign flashing above is dazzling. Sharkey’s Dinner it flashes, first in blue, then green. When the three of you step inside, you can see that the interior matches the exterior. Polished chrome and a black and white décor are like something out of a time capsule. It’s great.
You pick a booth off in a corner, Ellen slides in and you sit down next to her, while Amy sits across from you. A slightly plump forty-something waitress with dark brown eyes and curly black hair pinned on top of her head brings over three tall glasses of water, and three menus. “I’ll give you a few minutes to decide.” She says smiling, and then walks back behind the counter. Amy decides on a salad, Ellen picks the broiled chicken breast, and you choose a reliable cheeseburger. After the waitress returns and withdraws after taking your order, Amy asks,
“So have you noticed anything funny around campus since you got here?”
You shake your head, and reply that you really haven't been paying all that much attention, and most recently you’d been happily fucking or sucking the redhead and Ellen.
“Yeah, you do very good work. No wonder Ellen’s so hot for you.” Amy says grinning, as Ellen turn a light shade of red, and concentrates on her plate.
“Its only recently the school went coed, about two or three years ago. Before that it was all women. Most of the faculty is still women, about ninety percent anyway. They thought that if they went coed, it would stop the rumors, and its worked up to this point.”
Ellen sighs, and asks if Amy really needs to tell you what she’s about to say. Then the waitress returns, as if to prevent Amy from finishing. But after the plates have been set in front of all of you and the waitress leaves, Amy continues between bites of her salad.
“So what were the rumors?” You ask.
“That Widley made straight girls go gay.” Amy snorts with a short laugh, and a couple of preppy looking girls a few tables away look towards your table before continuing their conversation. You look at Ellen, and her deep blue eyes meet yours, and then return to her plate. There’s no way you’d have imagined Ellen having a three way, and having sex with another women before she left for college.
“Is it true?”
“For a few.” Amy said, giving Ellen a knowing glance.
“I’d guess that about forty five percent of the girls here are lesbians or bi. And some like Ellen, just get caught up in the spirit of things, isn’t that right, Elle. Ellen was defiantly curious after she’d been here a few months. It is sort of a secret college for lesbian and bi girls. They get to know about it through the grapevine”
A look of concern crosses Ellen’s face, and she entwines her fingers around yours, and squeezes your hand gently.
“I’m not a lesbian. I want to get married, and have a family, and have a normal life, ok?” Her eyes have a pleading look, and a tear trails down one cheek, falling onto her ample breast.
“Ok. I’m not judging you. But you are bi, right? Is Amy your lover?
Amy looks towards her roommate, leans back against the booth and takes a sip of water from her glass before setting it back on the table.
“Well, Elle, what do you say?”
Ellen's answer.
