Check on Dr. Freling.

You hurry back to the doctor, but she's more than fine.

She's a little shaken up, but there's an excited smile drawn across her face. She places a hand on your shoulder, and whether it's to relieve stress or something else, she begins to chuckle. "Oh Julie! That was beautiful. Absolutely amazing. You saved us!"

When you move to hold her, you realize that with your left hand, you're tapping her with the side of an energy cannon. "Ah!" You shake it as if you're trying to get a piece of tape off your finger until you figure out how to transform it back. The segments lift, manipulate, and then settle back into a regular arm without any markings remaining.

The doctor brushes your shoulder. "Does it hurt?"

You shake your head. "I'm not detecting any damage."

"Your synthetic skin may feel like the real deal, but it's far stronger. Not only that, but it heals from injuries quite quickly. But you're not invincible, so don't get reckless, okay?"

Behind you, both robbers have been restrained by passengers. That's not where the attention is, however. Several people have crowded around the two of you. It's a little embarrassing! You glance around nervously as your cheeks start turning pink, unsure of what to say.

"That was amazing," a woman says. "And you're so cu~ute! Look at you in your little outfit, fighting crime."

"What do you mean by little?" you reply.

"She's like some kind of ass-kicking cyborg! But, way better looking than the ones I've seen," an older guy chimes in.

A young boy peeks over. He has long ears, just like one of the robbers. "Can you shoot your laser again? That was so cool..."

Dr. Freling giggles again. "You're already getting a fan club. Trust me, it has its ups and downs."

"I'm not sure if I want that, Doctor. I don't even know how to respond to them," you speak quietly. "Th-They're taking pictures. How do I look? Oh, I hope they didn't see anything." Self-consciously, you readjust your clothing.

"This wasn't the only robbery in Syonn today I guarantee that. I've actually been on a bus before where a vigilante stood up against some criminals. I'm sure after the thrill wears off, they'll go about their days. Sure, you'll have some pics on social media, but at least you had clothes on."

You chuckle nervously and scratch your cheek. I guess she'd know.

The same boy that spoke earlier steps right up to you with a phone in his hands. "Can I... take a photo please?"

Aw. He's actually asking permission at least. "I guess that's fine."

With him being so short, it's easy as pie for him to lean forwards slightly and... snap a photo right up your skirt! You quickly cover up, and your face lights up with colour--both with embarrassment and anger.

"Hey--!" you shout.

But he disappears in the crowd cackling.

"... Combat mode initialized!"

Dr. Freling grabs you by the shoulder and tugs you back. "No. Bad, Julie. Don't kill kids."

"I wasn't going to kill him."
