Check back with Raven and Batgirl

Batgirl led the way down the hall, inspecting each of the doors as they passed by. She looked back, seeing Nightwing and Starfire open one of the doors and stepping inside. A little careless she thought, there was no telling what could in any of these…

“Are we just going to check them all?” Raven asked in her usual low tone.

“We’ll never explore this whole place if we just go room by room. Still, wouldn’t hurt to get an idea of what we’re dealing with…” Batgirl replied, and finally settled on a door, the one towards the middle of their side of the hall.

When she tried to handle, it gave and the door opened to reveal a rather odd sight behind it. There didn’t seem to be a room at all, but rather a seemingly unending forest of trees with scattered dirt and grass decorating the ground.

“Oh great, magic door temple. I knew we should have called Zatanna…” Batgirl sighed before she pulled back and closed the door.

“So, what now?” Raven asked, glancing at the dozens of other doors in the hall.

“Maybe splitting up wasn’t such a good idea. Let’s go grab Nightwing and Starfire before something weird happens.” Batgirl declared as she turned back to the first door on the opposite wall, where the two had gone into.

Unbeknownst to either of the girls though, the handle of the door they closed begun to move again, and the door slowly creeped open just a crack…

Raven and Batgirl walked back together, inspecting some of the other doors.

“Why was Starfire so eager to split up anyway?” Batgirl asked.

“Probably wanted to get some alone time with Nightwing, they’re probably making out behind that door right now. Why did you say yes so quickly?” Raven asked back.

Barbra paused for a moment, wondering the same thing herself. She had been so quick to agree with Starfires suggestion before really considering the dangers. That wasn’t like her, and that was like Starfire either…

“They went into this one.” Raven said as they arrived at the door, and Batgirl nodded as she pulled at the handle to open it.

The pair glanced inside as the door opened, and it didn’t seem all that foreboding. A simple motel like room made of stone and marble. Nothing too weird about it, except at the bed in the center there was something covering the white sheets, something black with blue highlights…

“Huh? What happened to Nightwing and Starfire?” Batgirl inquired out loud, looking back at Raven who glared back with a tired expression.

“Guess they decided to do more than kiss.” Raven declared, and Batgirl couldn’t help but blush at the suggestion.

“That’s… certainly bold but where did they actually go?” Batgirl said, trying to remain focused. That didn’t make any sense, they could only have been in this room for a couple of minutes, where had they gone?

Batgirl walked into the room, looking for clues as to what had happened to Nightwing and Starfire. Among the tattered remains of Nightwings costume she also found the discarded purple garments of Starfire. Not surprising given the implication, but Nightwings belt was still there too… and his recorder was still active.
